Why the hell is this match on the TV? It wouldn't have anything to do with the BBCs favourite son Mr. Linekar would it? BBC impartial....my arse!

I was struck by the philosophical title of this thread which made a lot of sense in itself.

It would be a bit like watching a B movie now after the match between Burton Albion and Man U - that was fantastic (unless you're a Man U supporter)

But how poor it is that? As a licence payer it really does baffle me how they come up with their selections....Sky got it spot on today, I would also like to have seen Nuneaton vs Boro. It can't be right that just cos Gary loves Spurs and is a Leicester director that we should get this match on such a wank time....I feel sorry for the supporters, what sort of timeslot is this....crazy.

Gary does look a little bit like the FA cup I spose.

Televised early round cup games are generally picked for their likelihood of an upset.
Nothing to do with Lineker.

I only saw the last 25 minutes, during which I thought Spuzz were awful.
We would have beaten them (again) yesterday.

it was a good game, I'm not complaining!
Spurs in the second half were hilariously bad though. Anthony Gardner? Titus Bramble eat your heart out.
Must admit when Spurs went 2 up I was saying why the is game? etc. Turned out to be a great match....the beeb really came up trumps over the weekend with 2 out of the 3 games at least.
The best bit was the way the Spurs fans were so noisy in the first half giving it all that 'when the Spurs go marching in' malarky and then after Leicester's fightback total silence....they were the same at Selhurst last season.

It was a great game - but it shouldn't have been. The BBC in my view made a very strange choice of match and got lucky.
