Trying to fix inlaws PC
Main hard disk wouldn't boot - MBR looks like toast - reinstall of mbr - no change. So I have installed XP on a new disk and mounted the old disk as a slave to get the data off. The problem is I can't seem to assign a driver lettter to the old disk - the option is greyed out!
How do I make the old disk mountable in windows?
The old disk is labelled main disk in image below
