I videoed some stuff on my digital camera and may want to edit the footage at a later date. To do this it will need to be in avi or mpg format. Can i convert?

The answer is "yes" but i'll be buggered if I know how to do it. I wouldn't mind knowing as well.

Try http://www.pegasys-inc.com/ and look for a programme called TMPGEnc Express. I'm pretty sure that this will do the conversion and I think it's available in a trial version download so won't cost you anything if I'm wrong.

I've got a program at home that does it, apparently...
Tried it once and it didn't work. :clown:
Can't remember the name, I'll forward it on to you when I get home.
