Only a matter of time. Klaasen won't be far behind!

As for the topic, this has been coming for a while although a very smart move to get him over in time for the Premier League.

Gives all the big players a chance to have a shot at him befor ethe knockout tourneys start in summer.

Will be interesting to see how the crowd react. I guess he'll be a bit of a baddie. Whereas Scholten is quiet and has never upset the applecart, I guess Barney's out to win stuff and will likely find the crowds always against him as they'll root for the British player (or opponent when he plays Part/Scholten etc)

Did anyone else see Barney's debut?

I was not much of a fan of his before but have to say that he was very impressive. It will be very interesting to see how he competes, particularly as he has to qualify for all the big tournaments but the way he performed last night was exceptional and I sincerely hope that he becomes Phil Taylor's main rival.

He looked very good last night although, to be fair, Taylors response in the last game was pretty good too!!

Er...actually, from memory, Barneys 3 dart ave was over 90 (which is good) but in the last game Tayor was something around 106!!

Impressive eh? ;)

I think Barneveld averaged 99 but as usual Taylor was above 105

i new he would go all the hype about him staying when he had already signed a contract to go over to the other side , should be an easy win for classen next year then

Stll love the BDO. Does Barney still wear his lucky necklace with a bear on it. He used to kiss it in times of trouble.

Klaasen needs to be more consistent. Barney was way way off his game in the january final, had he been able to hit some doubles Klaasen would have had a much tougher time. Someone else needs to step up now.

if anyone is interested Barneveld just hit a 9 darter, should be a cracking match later with Taylor.
