So RB is hinting that Salako is on his way back. It asks many questions such as
- Where will he play?
- Will he be fit?
- Is he a born again Palace fan?
- If he hits form will he P*** Off to another club.
Can't say I want him back. Salako only looks out for himself.

When I saw "Johnny, Johnny, Johnny" my thoughts immediately turned to the great Johnny Byrne as it reminded me of the chant that used to be sung with gusto when he was playing.I am sure that he is smiling down on us from up there.A wonderful player that I will never forget.

I don't want Salako either, can't see the point in having him. Let him go to Brentford with Geoff Thomas..

A 'Has Been' that was never the same player after he left us.
And as Snowdon says he only looks out for himself.
I can still remember his paddies when Coppell wasn't playing him !

Yep - totally agree. Stay away salad-boy, you're not welcome.
Couldn't have any respect for a player who had come back to Selhurst with the Chortleton wallies, giving it the large one.
There's only one tosser being mentioned in this thread, and he isn't a Palace fan.

Welcome back a player who left the club in his testimonial season for the bright lights of err, Leamington Spa (the posh bit of Coventry). Obviously he left to join a glamourous team who win copious amounts of silverware.
A player whose knee & career were rebuilt at CPFC's expense.
A player who took delight in winding up the Palace support on his return.
The short polite answer is no.

Yes, but some answers on here may be neither! Personally I think he's lost it - otherwise a) he wouldn't be at Clowntown and b) he'd still be involved with England. On leaving us the only way was down.
Wanted, professional footballers. Must be either a) Fat or b) Played for CPFC previously.
Apply Simon Jordan c/o Crystal Palace Fottball Club for a full public transfer saga.

Definitely no!
Towards the end of his Palace days he didn't give a toss - didn't run back when he lost the ball and spent most of his time, hands on hips, standing out on the wing.
Wasn't sorry to see him go and won't be upset if he doesn't come back.
And given his comments regarding football fans in general, I'd rather not line his pockets on a weekly basis.

Perhaps Alan Smith is looking to bring back some "mental toughness". http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif
And Salako certainly is tough. You have to be to stand out on the wing, doing nothing, keeping your hands on your hips during a game on a freezing midweek evening in January.

John Salako appears on Mastermind...
Magnus Magnusson: This is John Salako and he is from a campsite in South London. John, what is your specialised subject?
John Salako: Going missing.
MM: John Salako, you have two minutes on going missing, starting now.
Q1: When your form dipped in 1993/94 what did you do?
JS: I took extra training and worked hard on the pitch.
MM: No, you let people bring up your old knee injury as an excuse on a constant basis.
Q2: How many players did you beat down the wing in your final two seasons as a Palace player?
JS: Twenty-three.
MM: No, the answer is none. You always opted to cross early instead.
Q3: Which Crystal Palace player had the highest media profile in the early 1990s?
JS: Ian Wright.
MM: No John, I'm afraid it was you who was enjoying all the trimmings of being a footballer.
Q4: What was memorable about Palace's win at Watford in the 1993/94 season?
JS: That Paul Williams scored for Palace.
MM: No John, it was the Watford players nearly all wore gloves. No Palace players did, including (incredibly) yourself.
Q5: When you moved (beep, beep), I've started so I'll finish. When you moved to Coventry City in 1995 what was the popular story behind then coach Gordon Strachan's dislike of you?
JS: Because I called him "ginner" once.
MM: No, apparently the reason he didn't like you is because you're lazy John Salako.
John Salako at the end of your "Going Missing" you helped Palace score no points with no passes (but plenty of early crosses).

Salako is SO VAIN !!!!!!!!
He would spend more time worrying if his hair was out of place than contributing one iota of effort to the team. He did the dirty on us remember.....he should not be allowed to darken the doors of Selhurst ever again. I rest my case.
