How reliable do you find the marks that are given?
Do you understand how they are arrived at?

Whilst they often seem fairly reflective of an individuals performance, other times I can't understand them at all. I have a defensive midfielder (the "1" playing in a 4-1-3-2) who always seems to get win most of his tackles and headers, but is very rarely awarded more than 6 out of 10. Is it because things go on in the came that they don't report?

On the other hand, some players barely seem to touch the ball, yet always seem to get 7 or 8 out of 10. Most oddly, the other night, a player came on as substitute, two minutes from the end, touched the ball once (in fairness, it was an assist for a goal) and was given 10 out of 10 and man of the match!!!

I'd be interested in the views of others.

Im happy with the marking. Not having the passes, shots, headers;key etc. im not totally sure what all the marks are, but the general team performance can be lifted when one player comes on, whether it be scoring, running well off the ball, intimidating, or simply shooing his mouth off. None of these i dont think are shown to the player. Although i say this the likelyhood of this being the truth is slim, as it is after all, only a game.

I try not to look too deeply into passes, shots etc. because i get pi55ed off with it and turn it off. This probably proves the point that it may be wrong, but i dont want to argue with SI or the collyers in this matter, because i love the game and something like this doesnt bother me.

Is my view interesting enough for you?
