Not sure why but I'd completely forgotten about Friday's match being on Sky.

I've now arranged to be in Glasgow from Friday to Sunday (taking in Rangers v Motherwell on the Saturday) and wondered - is there such a thing as regional Sky Sports?

I doubt many bars in the city will be showing the Championship so I'm hoping the hotel will - can anyone confirm that the coverage will be the same as in England?

As far as im aware it is. Only the BBC channels are regonal on sky at the lower end of the channel number allocation (may have changed) but i used to get the BBC from london as channel 101 and then the southwest was some high channel number like 8xx

It shouldnt be a problem.

Sports Cafe on Sauchiehall Street will almost certainly be showing it.

Coverage is exactly the same. :)

Outstanding work - only staying in George Square so that's less than a mile away.....

Sky definitely isn't regional mate, you'll get to see the game somewhere.

p.s. that's why they need the seperate channels for the BBC regional programming, rather than how it's split on the analogue broadcast on the same channel

It'll be quite a long way down Sauchiehall Street from you, way past the pedestrian precinct.

Walkabout on Renfield Street is nearer and will be showing it
