The Demo lasts 6 months (though if you got hold of a dodgy BETA that lasts a full season).
Haven't looked at Palace in particular but I think you begin in deep doo-doo financially like Wednesday do?
If so, simply sell 2 or 3 players as fast as possible (no cheating with "extra" managers!) for a couple of mil' a piece, and a new board will come in and clear the debt and make around £6m available.
Go to South Korea and look for Seo Jong-something or other (AMLR) and sign him for about £1.4m and he's a demon on left wing.
Also try to sign Diego Gavilan on loan.
Chris Armstrong makes a good striker with Arnar Gunlaugsson.
Try and get Phil Neville on loan, and sign Gerald Sibon.
You have a bunch of players there who will average around 7.5 through a 44 game season (assuming a few off for injury etc).
In my Authorised Beta copy I used my old CM00-01 tactic and it works a gem still.
Load the attacking 5-3-2 formatioon, using attacking midfielders on the 2 wide positions, a forward on the right side of central midfield, and Sibon in the AMC slot (will score in around 50% of games in that spot).
You will need to tweak your team tactics to:
Attacking
Hard
Mixed
Yes
Yes
No No
(look on the screen, you'll see what I mean).
I took Wednesday who asked me to battle relegation, to finish 8th in 1st season, and have around 10 good players coming in on bosmans next year so can build on that (should get to use my saved beta game in the full release).
