Vernazza is (i think) a right winger. That would mean Black would be placed somewhere else. Black played up-front for 2/3 of the season in Arsenal reserves, he might be put up front.
At least Le Tissier has a good record with penalties. But that alone does not make him a priority signing.

We don't need him - we need two strikers - PLUS Reading's Darren Caskey http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

He's the type of signing that could go one of two ways. Knowing our luck, he would remain unfit and injury prone and end up costing us a lot of money for a moment or two of genius (like Sasa).
However, how exactly is our midefield sorted folks? We can hardly string two passes together and anyway, most of our play going forward bypasses midfield.
If the fee and wages were not too much, I would be prepared to gamble on the fact that Le Tissier's passing could open up first division defences (against Burnley, for example, he would have had a field day!)
To say nothing of his dead-ball delivery, which is second to none.

Maybe that is why they want to get rid of "Dead Balls" http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/redface.gif
Any ugly bloke with a big nose who manages to pull an australian soap star with big tits is an alright geezer in my book...
...he takes good penalties too!
