All fair comments, not a single one of which occured to me...All I could think of was 'such a shame it didn't work out' but then I didn't particularly want to harrass him while he was having a pint :)

I went to France for the weekend, on Sunday there was this absolutely mahussive queue for the ferry home. The police even had to 'deviate' the traffic around the roundabout at Calais. Missed the boat because of this and had to wait for the next one. What was the cause of this ???....an accident I thought, a strike ?? Nope, nope, nope, t'was thousands of Poles all coming back here after their Xmas break !!!!!!!
