We are not the ones who still sing a song about sending another team down from 18 months ago.

Dowie thought Charlton should have had a penalty.... looking at the fans behind him, either a) they didn't see what Dowie saw, b) Dowie is seeing things, c) Dowie is clutching at straws, or d) Charlton fans don't know anything about football!

He and Palace in the Premiership were special. It couldn't be replicated. He should have known that and so should Charlton. Unless, he is very Machievellian (sp ), in which case he is a genius and SJ should give him a job for life when he gets the toe from Charlton.

Nobody, least of all Dowie believes he is is a "football genius". At best,
while he was at Palace he showed that he was an inspirational coach,
who managed, by using various training and coaching strategems to
convince an underperforming group of journeymen players, together
with a highly-talented striker to lift their game, play as a unit & take
us through to victory over West Ham at the Millennium Stadium and
promotion to the Premier League.

It was during our season in the Premier League that his frailties as a
manager were revealed both in his failure to bring in the necessary
players of quality and experience to keep us up and in his inability
to employ successful tactics even against some of the bottom
teams.

His managerial/tactical weaknesses were further revealed during
last season's unsuccessful Championship campaign which ended
in humiliating defeat to Watford in the play-off semi-final.

Whatever his reasons for accepting the Charlton job, he showed
he was capable of self-deception on a monumental scale, in
believing that he had the necessary credentials to follow in
the footsteps of Alan Curbishley, one of the hardest manag-
erial acts to follow in the current English game.

Hmmm, history suggests there was a great deal of fortune in our getting to the Prem and that once there ID should have kept us up.

He really let us down with his approach last season

He is a tosser!

Not quite a clean sheet against the mighty Chesterfield? I do like Dowie's quote: 'we matched them all the way'. Nice to see such high aspirations!
Looks like the old cup run and relegation double the way things are going.

Three goals let in to the mighty Wigan. Premier League, you are having a laugh. I shall laugh even more when Bob Dowie joins your sad bitter little club. C U next season (if we stay up!!!)
