Surely we have to try and buy these 2 from the MK Dons, they are both gettign rave reviews and im sure would maybe bring back some of the passion to a club that is in need of a fresh bit of talent !!

Depends if they need the cash and if we have it to splash.

Mcleod maybe, raw & pacy
Platt no, doesn't score enough goals, even at that level

McLeod's a great prospect, the sky's the limit. Platt's an ageing lower league journeyman with a poor goalscoring record for a striker even at that level. There's no comparison really is there?!

I'm amazed McLeod's still playing in League 2. He might not exactly be a clinical finisher yet but he has bags of ability.

Platt has a habit of scoring when it matters, but he has less pace than all of our strikers.

McLeod could be worth the gamble though, he's big yet pacey and has an eye for goal.

Lloyd Dyer's looked quite good for MK Dons this season too but I don't think MK Dons would be interested in selling a player they signed in July.

Their captain used to play for us too.

.

Indeed he has! Scored a few goals from free kicks, has looked very lively on the left wing and does have a left foot. Not sure that palace should sign him though, but hey, stranger things have happened.

...which was scored by Platt!

I think McLeod has been priced out of a move above League 2, and also think he will remain at MK Dons for a while longer because of this reason

Platt is 29 years old and in 317 games prior to this season had scored 52 goals. Why on earth should we be interested?

Ever the Frannies aren't that enthusiastic about Platt. I have said before McLeod is definitely worth a punt as he is very fast and has a lot of raw talent which may develop (may not but that is the risk) - Taylor has seen him at U21's but dropped him for the last few matches - still the competition for the U21 strikers positions is fierce atm so that doesn't mean he may not be a good thing anyway.

Supposedly Wigan have a £1.6m bid lined up but I would take the figure with a pinch of salt.

would only offer £1m for McLeod

'Platt' provides a physical presence and has the ability to retain the ball when it is played up to him, but alas I would be 'underwhelmed' to be informed of any interest in the laddie.

Now if one is speculating apropos messrs 'Karl Hawley' or 'Will Hoskins', this is an entirely different matter.

Will Hoskins has been around for a few years now, but only now seems to be starting to fulfil his potential.

Could be an intriguing signing and what with Rotherham's financial plight, could be picked up for a fairly small fee.

Certainly the type of player PT should be looking at in January [if he survives in the job until then, of course]
