Palace after Le Tiss?

Crystal Palace are chasing not one Saints player but two.
Palace are newly enriched by a takeover and are still interested in signing James Beattie. Their latest offer is for £3m and Saints are still not keen to do business.
Reports that 22 year old Beattie has spoken to Palace are wrong. Beattie says he has not spoken to Palace and does not want to leave the Dell ,least of all for the first division.
Palace say they remain interested in the player but whether or not they improve their offer Saints will discover in the next few days.
Weekened reports also indicate that Palace are interested in Matthew Le Tissier.
They have not made an offer and it would need to be a big one to tempt Saints into parting.
Glenn Hoddle has gone on record to say how Le Tissier is still his one player of top quality. All he needs is to regain his fitness.
