What do you wrekon? I think that if we can keep turner on loan until the end of the season then this would be a pretty good move for us, save money (wages)..

He would still be entitled to his wages up to the end of the season, better to try for a fee paying move.

Was thinking about this earlier, cant see him wanting to stay and fight for his place- hopefully we can get him out on loan somewhere until the summer

I think he would be if he was playing in a team high on confidence, higher up the league, winning games, but not at the moment when the results and confidence just isnt there, knock his confidence.

Confidence breeds confidence

Palace may be looking to give Kiraly a free transfer once the window opens, as that may enable the club to forgoe a transfer fee in eschange for Kiraly agreeing to forfeit the remainder of his contract.

Speroni should be given a chance.

We still havenīt won a game (Champ./Prem.) with Speroni in goal.
He must have played 10-12 games. We can't afford to give him another
chance.

If Turner gets injured, give me Kiraly ahead of Flinders or Speroni any day. Keep him.

Does anyone actually want Gabor? He's been touted around for a while now, with the club seemingly willing to make accommodations to get rid, but there have been no takers.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him sit out his contract at Palace.

keep him as cover until his contract runs out, we got him on a free anyway

Personally I'd play him, but let's hope when he has something to do that Turner proves me wrong and all his advocates wrong, since Kiraly is never going to get 100 games in

I'd rather Palace get Ģ500,000 for him now than be forced to pay him compensation.

I think we should try looking at extending Turner's loan spell until the end of the season. Or in January look to sign an reliable experianced goalkeeper who only has a season or two left in him in January.

Recently, well since the start of Turner's loan spell, I realised how vital it is for a side to have a consistent 'keeper. Flinders looked like a nervous wreck against QPR while Gabor has the worst distribution I have ever seen. Flinders may come good in a season or two, but at the moment neither of them are good enough to help us progress into the playoff zone.

Gets my vote for most misguided comment of the season.

International goalkeeper. Played in the Bundesliga for Hertha.
Voted one of the best keepers in the Premiership when he played for us.

Comes in and does extra training at Palace - when he doesn't have to.

Wants to play in the Premiership which means he is an ambitious player.

Of course he's a joke. It's plain to see.

He may be on his way out of Palace. But he has given us good service. He deserves a little respect.

What is about our keepers? Chuck toys out of the pram, and give huge bottom lip?
At least he aint waiting for a train.:bash:

Why does he deserve respect? He s not a bad shot stopper, but the general guide to the quality of a keeper is how he deals with crosses and corners. And his postioning is poor at both, and it s cost us upteen times.

Its no coincidence that the side has performed better and more consistently since he s gone away on loan, his erractic performances spread terror amongst the back four, who clearly had no idea what he would do next. Add to that his woeful kicking which got us into so much trouble too, its not a good combination.

Cash in, and thanks for the memories.

Actually, it's total coincidence. It just so happens that we've played with a different CB combination and Butts and Granville have improved slightly, and we've played 2 away games completely on the defensive.
Turner has had practically nothing to do. Maybe he is better, and maybe the defence feels more confident, but let's actually wait until Turner has been tested before we say how much better he is than Gabor.
It is rather irrelevant, as it appears that Gabor must have a payment of several hundred thousands of pounds due when he gets to 100 games, judging by the way anyone is played instead of him, so he won't be playing.
The premature judgement of Turner is the reverse situation of the slagging off of Kuqi.

Yes, Flinders will be a good player for us....unfortunately when he played for us it was at stupied times. You don't bed a youngster in to a team playing the way we were. Give him time and a proper induction, he can be a top keeper with the right application and the right luck.

Maybe not, but we beat Liverpool in the Carling Cup last season with him in goal - and he played a blinder!
