about 15 minutes or you can get a bus outside the station. Not sure if it will be running boxing day but the ground is sign posted from southampton central anyways.
turn left as you come out of the main entrance to Southampton Central (sea side) and keep walking. Its about 1 mile or so and is signposted.

There aren't and this is the wrong forum.
There is, however, a thread in the correct one.

Does anyone know when the last train to Soton goes before Xmas so I can get down there and queue for tickets?

I'd suggest walking, leave about 8pm on Christmas Day.

I had seen it but was unable to reply owing to a misunderstanding with my account and it being suspended.
However, I'm back...........:bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

I know there is a SWT website, but be aware of this:-
Major engineering work in the Portsmouth area
23 December 2006 to 4 February 2007
Network Rail will be carrying out a major £100 million resignalling project. The project will see more than 50 miles of track resignalled and more than 2.5 miles of track replaced in the Portsmouth area.
The track improvements will bring benefits including smoother and more reliable journeys.
This work will be carried out in two phases:
Phase One
23 December 2006 to 1 January 2007 inclusive.
No train services will run in the area shown on the map to the right. Special bus services will run from the Portsmouth area to Fareham, Petersfield and Chichester to connect with trains. Buses will also run between Fareham, Havant and Chichester.
As usual, there will be no South West Trains services across the network on Monday 25 (Christmas Day) and Tuesday 26 December (Boxing Day) 2006.
I think the key bit is the last sentence !

Exactly, why are people so surprised by this - it's the same every year, even for home games! :S:
