Just in off the CP-FRIS, seems like an excellent idea. Here's the full story:

The following travel service is being introduced in conjunction
with the CP-FRIS. This particular service will be co-ordinated by
KEITH BRODY in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Keith writes.....

EAGLES IN EXILE
***************

Are you a Palace supporter living outside London, who either
regularly attends matches (home and/or away) or given the chance,
would like to?

Eagles in Exile is a new "mailing list" which will effectively
operate as a ride-share bulletin for fans either planning to, or
wanting to attend fixtures.

How will it work? In the first instance, e-mail me immediately and
I will compile the list and send out an introductory message in the
next week or so. Please send your name, e-mail address, geographical
location (should be at least 50 miles from Selhurst Park), and
whether you usually have transport and are willing to offer rides to
other supporters, or would like a ride to matches from someone who
has transport. In the introductory e-mail, I will list the general
areas of the country covered by list members, etc.

Then, each Monday (for Saturday matches, and as appropriate for
midweek matches) I will send out another mail asking who is looking
for, or offering rides for the upcoming game (regardless of whether
it's home or away). List members would have two to three days to
respond. On the Wednesday or Thursday, a second mail would go out
to the list stating the information gathered...who was offering or
looking for rides to that week's fixture.

It strikes me that this is not only a great way to increase
attendance and ensure more people cheering the lads into the
Premiership, but also a good way of meeting other Palace supporters
exiled in your local area throughout the country.

Anyway, if you're interested, please cut and paste the section below and e-mail it to me at: kbrody@oxford-group.co.uk

Thanks,

As I said, it seems like an excellent idea. However I probably won't join it, as I'm a bit too far out of the way and don't get to enough games to justify it.

certainly sounds a good idea - I sometimes get e-mails from people asking about lifts or offering - so it's good that someone will be co-ordinating it all

Anyone else having trouble sending to Keith's email address at kbrody@oxford-group.co.uk ?
Every time I try to mail him, the message gets bounced back straight away. Is this not the right address??

That's true. Hopefully lots of pilots are signing up! ;)

Being serious I saw Elgin mentioned on the most recent CP-FRIS e-mail, so I will probably sign up, despite the fact that most games I get to these days seem to involve using Glasgow Airport rather than anything else.
