A little help people!

Championship manager 00/01.

I'm 5th in the 2nd division with Port Vale, the board expectations are that of being in the playoffs.

Everytime i restore my saved game it goes totally down hill, it's towards the end of Jan, and all of a sudden i go on a stinking run. Can anyone help me improve this? tell me how i can stop the rot.

In have £500000 in the coffers, and am playing a 4-4-2 attacking formation. thats the 2 wingers just ahead of the midfielders.

Change your tactics every so often before a game. Even if it's just putting hard tackling on. You could also try changing your formation to 4-1-3-2. Best Formation in the game. Hope it helps.

it works wonderfully!!! i changed the tactics a little and now i'm unbeaten in 12 games!

Yes, 442 is the worst formation you can play in CM, in any form, which is a shame. Everyone BEWARE though. 4132 has been a godsend in the last few games, but it wont be magical anymore. Apparently 01-02 is the first to apply wingers as a attacking options and so, as 4132 has no wingers, extra problems will be caused to fullbacks.

I play a 2-3-2-1-2 which leads to pretty exciting matches :D

4-1-3-2 has worked fine for me on CM 01-02. I went up after coming 2nd in the league in my first season but maybe that's just my managerial skills. :D

Well, my managerial skills mean that i dont have to resort to the old "cheat" formation. :D :o even if it isnt a "cheat" anymore (or so i hear.)

I was quite obviously joking when implying it is a """""cheat""""" formation. It may be quite good in real life. But no CURRENT manager has the skills to apply it. New Palace manager = ME :p :p

No way! I don't wanna make Oldham a top club! :D Palace need me. In CM, In just 2 seasons I came 2nd place for automatic promotion and am now 6th in the premier after 10 games! And don't anyone even think abput saying it's just a game!!! :p :angel:

I'm persevering with Palace's real-life 3-5-2. Attacking, Short Passing style with Kirovski/Hopkin as an AMC behind the strikers. (not in free role).

If you spread the 3 CB's out when in possession you get more attacks being built from the back.

Halfway through the season we are top and Hopkin has scored 16 goals from AMC and is 6 clear of either striker :D
