The Owls on a fantastic run with 7 wins and 3 draws from their last 10. (including their win at Selhurst)

Now only 3 points off the top 6 with both WBA and Preston stuttering they might do a "Palace" and sneak in on the last game of the season.

Big club, they deserve to be in the Premiership.

Clement put his head into Clarkes head TWICE and then pushed him in the face with his hand.

30 seconds later Carter (already booked) goes straight through Clarke nowhere near the ball!

Both were in injury time.

Can't believe this league - the 2 best teams I have seen at this level, Southampton and WBA look like they might not even make the playoffs. Both teams hammered us at Selhurst whilst both dominated the game at their place whilst down to 10 men.

Think Taylor is still only mid-way towards rebuilding a first-team squad
capable of challenging for promotion, whereas Laws and Wednesday
are a lot nearer to achieving that aim.

Taylor now has a rare opportunity this summer to clear out the
highly-paid, injury-prone and other under-performing players on
long but now expiring contracts and replace them with some of
the up-and-coming talent developed through the Academy while
also bringing in a few new fit, ambitious, experienced, quality
players from the lower Leagues to raise the level of football
and increase competition for places.

According to this week's "Croydon Advertiser" the manager is
anxious to have talks with the Chairman on this very subject,
but I think he will need to start giving some of our best young
players a greater role in the first-team soon and show his
determination to get rid of the dead-wood if he is to get on
the right side of the Chairman in his present frame of mind...
