Should auld acquaintance be forgot ...

A Happy New Year indeed to everyone of a Red & Blue persuasion. My impromptu return shall soon be further curtailed by ongoing family issues but for this very Thursday at least, we can revel in the fact tonight's Adder Review is back with a bigger bang (well almost, ok maybe not) than Rio's Christmas party for the lads ;)

So the festive period brought us the annual 'How To F%ck Up Yer Christmas' courtesy of Albert Square and Weatherfield's inmates ... Her Majesty took a break from www.barechestedfiremen.com to YouTube her Yuletide chinwag to the nation ... we sang 'Noel' and a short bearded fellow came upon us bearing gifts (much preferred Swap Shop though) ... and the emergency services took a call every eight seconds (alright Joey we're on our way) :clown:

The most treasured gift of all ... so what's in tomorrow's fully de-toxed Adder?

* "Derry's a big doubt" : will the caveman stay in SE25?

* "Kuqi doubts as youngsters get real" : what (and where) now for the big Finn?

* "Warnock is the top man" : a nice big bottle of bubbly and a gong for the Warnock sideboard. Well done squire!

* "Quiet start to the New Year" : a look back to the New Year's day clash with Naaarch.

* "Palace are simply too sharp for the Blades" : Warnock's coup de grace in South Yorkshire :lux:

* "Warnock is still a hero among the Sheffield United faithful" : tough. He's our hero now :D

* "Morrison sees his future at Palace with Warnock" : life according to Clint.

* "It's the FA Cup but it's also the same old faces" : Saturday's trip to Watford ... fedoras anyone?

* "Romance of the cup is dying" and "New Year's resolution to keep the fans happy" : freeman of SE25, Neil Warnock's column.

* "The perfect Christmas - almost" and "We must keep Derry if we are to continue our rise" : Laurie Dahl leaps into the New Year.

* "Clinton's video hit", Eagles in land of Oz" and "Stato was true gent" : a New Year's Selhurst Spy.

* "Retro" : while everyone else looks forward, Mista Parx looks back.

* " Player Ratings" : wonder what Ruskin thinks? ;)

* "All the latest ticket details" : but no mention of when they run out LOL!

* "Palace Opinions", "Best of the web", "How the rivals saw it" and "What the papers say" : plenty of Red & Blue opinion.

So, a break from our soaring endeavours in the Championship ... and the small matter of an ale & train junket to Hertfordshire. FA Cup? Fedoras? Cigars? Nah, it'll never catch on ... who could carry that off?

See you there ... be Red & Blue, be Palace and be Proud! :p

Hang in there Mum.

Great to see you in The Selhurst Arms on new year's day, and pleased to have the pre-weekend Adder thread back. I really hope you and the Guv have a better year.
