This was when we had our current record unbeaten run of 18 games. It begun near the end of the 1968/69 season and finished a few games into the following season.

We are now on 14 games unbeaten, could we set a new record?

I know people are saying FA cup counts as part of the run. But a full strength side really would have made a difference. Speroni, Hill and Derry would not be on a losing side.

So all things being equal, we can equal the record at Charlton and surpass it at home to Ipswich.

Surely in a way our current record is different as it's all in one season.

As far as I can work out our best unbeaten run in a Football League season is the 16 in 1968-9 and also 16 in 1920-21, both started in the February and ended with the last games of those seasons.

I don't see why one would not include games that span 2 seasons.
