A few tips:

Sell Rubins and Kolinko to raise a bit of money to buy some players

Send scouts to Sweden and buy the players they recommend. I picked up a few quality internationals at cheap prices

Get a couple of loan players from Premiership clubs - Adi Akinbiyi and Darius Vassell both did very well for me.

Try a 2-3-2-1-2 formation - it will make for some exciting games if nothing else :)

I bought Geoff Horsfield and he's been excellent for me.
I think the makers are from Brighton and have added a bug which stops Palace from getting in the top half of the table.

I'm just about to win the champions league in the year 2005. took palace up in the 1st year and won the premier the next. :) So I suggest listening up. :p Buy Selakovic. And make sure you play the 4-1-3-2 formation. Apart from that can't remember what I did. :)

Thanks guys. Made some switches in approach yesterday. Went for a 352 defensive with option to go 352 attacking to put opposition on back foot. Sold Fan, Rubins, Clarke, Carlisle and bought some clog called van Moll, a jock midfielder, a czech right midfield player and Dolg from Forest. From the back: DL Berhalter (cover Harrison), DC Mullins (capt), DR Popovic (cover Dolg). DMC Rodger (backup Gray / Hopkin when switching to attacking 352), ML Gray (van Moll backup), MC Rihilati, MC Pollock, MR Black (backup czech), and then the obvious striking partnership of Doog and Clint with Sharpling waiting in the wings - he sored his debut goal last night! Now 2nd in Div 1 with a game in hand - e i e i e i o......

Will look at Selakovic, Horsfield and pi*s a scout off to sweden. Holland seems to be a happy hunting ground too.

Switch Pollock for Gray or whoever in the DM role. Pollocks amazing there and I had offers from of 6m from Arsenal, Man Utd and Leeds just half way through the season. Also, if you haven't already done so, make Pollock captain.

P.S. Always play with hard tackling.

Carlisle is very good in my game and gets even better after a few seasons. I wouldn't have sold him as he is much better than Smith especially if you play wingbacks.

What?

Use the editor to put yourself in the game at palace. Make yourself good but not perfect or he will want to leave. Dont do any other cheating though as it spoils it.
