to be fair though they are 2nd bottom in league 2 against premier league opposition.

Its like palace playing away at Barcelona and dominating them game, they did play well.

Huth should have been gine 1st half.

Looking forward to the Dockyard Derby, being shown live on British Forces TV.

Boro were very lucky they didn't lose Huth; clear cut red card.

Barnet already missed a penalty.

What a cracking manager Paul Jewell is. They are going to find things rather tough in the Championship next season.

Derby sound bloody awful too - Paul Jewell is pretty mad on the touchline.

Great start by Motson - said Cech had gone to Czechoslovakia to see his new baby - someone should tell him that the countries divided several years.

The richer the top flight gets compared to the rest of football, the more 'utter embarrassments' there'll be.

Going up and staying up via the play-offs is nearly impossible.

Even though they will get parachute payments,it could take them a long time to recover from a season like this.

To be honest I don't think it's got much to do with that. We spent bugger all when we went up and gave it a bloody good go, as did Sheffield United last season.Neither survived granted, but both ourselves and the Blades were thoroughly unlucky not to survive and we both gave superb accounts of ourselves.

It's hard to financially compete, but Derby are a gutless, spineless team who don't seem to care. Even Watford put up a better fight last season.

To compound things, Jewell then goes out and brings in well known rotten apples in Ghaly and Lauren Robert, plus failing to utilise their best striker in Earnshaw correctly.

No excuses for a lack of fight and spirit.

Yup, true.

I'm confident that if we were to go up this season, then while we would be a long way off the required quality to compete, we would at least roll our sleeves up and try and make up for our technical limitations with a bit of graft and hard work. That's the minimum requirement really and is what Warnock would demand.

I've been really surprised by the way Derby have approached the Prem this season. So defeatist. Their recent run of results does Jewell no credit, either; he's just another average manager who is living off the back of one or two decent achievements in his managerial career. They should have stuck with Davies.
