Posted in the fa cup on tv thread. United looked like a Warnock side in the first half and City didnt cope very well.

Man City are a really poor side who are in a falsely high position in the premiership. Don't think they be in any trouble of relegation this season but no way will they finish top half.

I can only count 6 PL teams still in the FA Cup (Big Four, Pompey and Boro). I must have missed some somewhere.

bizarre first goal

does anybody else remember a similar situation a few years back at QPR?
they had to win to stay up and there were balloons all in the palace half, and had a hand in the first of their 6 ( :grrr: ) goals that day

It doesnt really matter, they might as well have a separate FA Cup for the Big 4 then let the rest of us play in a slightly more competitive tournament with a few surprises.

The referee will get a blasting for this, it is his responceability to ensure the pitch is clear of anything that might endanger the players safety or interfere with the game itself.

Yes - their winger took the ball out of play near the corner flag, but amidst loads of blue and white balloons it went unnoticed, and he crossed it in for the goal. That was a shit day out.
