I'v been in top 3 of Div 1 for almost all season and since the end of season crunch games have come up I've started losing everything - boohoo. Am playing a 3-5-2 and MUST win the last 6 games to have a chance... Help !!!!!!!!:p :p

turn the computer off, go out into the fresh air and rediscover life. Championship Manager is the most evil game know to man, it steals you life from you.

I know, I've been there.... I still daily need to fight the urges that say "just a quick game...." as I know tha it'll be 3 weeks before I venture forth into the real world again...

i dunno if this will work in cm0102, but in previous games, a losing streak can be halted by either thowing in a few youngsters and leaving a couple of regulars on the bench, or changing captain, or changing tackling to hard. one or more of those in tandem should lead to a turn around in fortunes, and a pick up in form just in time for the playoffs!

Real world? What's that then? Ok ok - I know it is a bit of a life stealer e.g. sneaking out of bed at 2 am for a swift hack at management, crawling back in at 6 and having to goto work all sandy eyed having been consecutively stuffed because popovic, berhalter and mullins had an off season. But, nevertheless, still v addictive and definitely positions one to add some real binary value to critical discussions on the managerial state of play at the palace and other less unsuccessful clubs. But anyway, it seems that a change to the players / tactics is in order - emm, does this mean I should reinstate carlisle and harrison, and give my new signing Macken a run out? What's carlisle's best position? Also, with a 2 pronged strike force should I play DF on the right and CM on the left?

I was top with 12games to go and then lost 3 and drew 3 and dropped to 7th, I changed my tactic to 4-3-2-1 and won my remaining game, taking2nd place on the last game

If youre on a losing streak change the formation if you have used the same one for the whole season, as other teams will have figured it out.

I beat Hertha Berlin in the UEFA cup final who were using that tactic. I played 3 at the back, 2 wing backs pushing to the attacking midfield position, two defensive midfielders, one central midfielder pushing to the attacking midfield position and two strikers.

I was 3-1 up at half time, ended up winning 3-2. :p

I've found Man Utd to be too strong in 01/02. They win the league by 20 odd points every season from me or Arsenal. I've still done ok though, 7 trophies in 3 seasons:

FA Cup
League Cup
2 x UEFA Cup
2 x Super Cup
Charity Shield

I play a 4-1-3-2 formation.

I won the league the year I went up. I agree though in the way that Man united are too go in it though, Does help when they have Van Nistlerooy who cores about 40 a season with an average of about 8.50 a season, also help with Chadwick who assists about a goal a game.
