I take it you missed Saturday's match? :D
tbh i think that since warnock said that we arent looking to get into the play offs any more then there really isnt a need for loan players or emergency transfers if you think about it ? we'll just have to ride this out till next season LOTS OF TRANSFERS next season imo, in and out !
I think until he shifts some of the deadwood, he is stuck. Kennedy, Kuqi and Ifill are probably 3 of the biggest earners at the club and currently we are stuck with them.

My thoughts exactly.Next season is going to be exciting, a good mix of youngsters & better football once NW has his players in place.

We missed the boat, signings should have been made in January when we were doing well, that would have given us the strength in depth we needed as sadly its plain to see now how we are lacking. Take a club like Stoke who are top but still pursue players to ensure they stay there, take Charlton even though they have a very good winger in Jerome Thomas but are on the verge of getting Sinclair from Chelsea, and WBA score goals for fun yet bring in another quality striker from Villa. My view is NW made a massive blunder and still is with his team selection, but lets give him the benifit of the doubt and reserve judgement, that he is experiminting and come the summer will clear the decks and make a big push next season.

Was going to pick the "no emergency" point, but basically what would be the use of loanees? NW wants to evaluate the squad we have, not other peoples players. Only possible point might be if he is considering a move in the summer, perhaps a couple of such loans just before the deadline in this case, but otherwise I'd say he's going about it the right way.

Different objectives, different approaches and in two cases different bank accounts. NW had a plan from the day he arrived and is working to it now as he was then.

I agree. I'm very pro loan singings and I know in general, from many other threads you are anti signing players on loan but currently what is the point of us doing so when the play offs are looking increasing unlikely. I'm also not sure we have the money to compete against most of the other promotion chasing clubs to get anyone of real quality in.
The only exception Id like to see us make is getting a player whose contract is up in the summer as this would give a great opportunity to trial them. which i think is what you are also suggesting.
