Anyone else recognise Pulis's right hand man at Stoke on Monday ? David Kemp. Excellent strike partner of David Swindlehurst in 1975-76 season. Scored 13 goals despite missing a lot of games through injury, moved on at start of following season - anyone remember why ?

Managed Plymouth and Oxford too, but with little success. I think he was also involved at Wimbledon in some capacity.

Also, Smith's assistant at Wycombe.

Aye, but I guess we shouldn't judge a man by the company he keeps ;)

If I remember rightly made some comments last year when he was Plymouth coach about how Taylor's CPFC were far too easy to play against and they had won so easily that their blokes didn't even need a shower..............different kettle of fish mow though!

I believe he came to Palace from non-league football (Walton & Hersham maybe?) and was a school teacher at the time.

As said above, he worked really well with Swindles, and I believe they became pretty good friends to the point he was Swindles Best Man at his wedding.

When he went to Pompey, we swapped him for George Graham

Seem to recall he made his debut away to Grimsby last game of the season with a certain K Sansom. Could never understand why we let him go to be honest. Kemp that is, we all know why Sansom went.
