Robert Earnshaw has agreed a 3-year contract with Crystal Palace and will be unveiled alongside Michael Kightly (4 year contract), Anthony Gardner (3 year contract) and Jose Semedo (1 year contract) on Friday 1st July.

Palace are also in advance talks with Manchester United with regards to taking Kiko Macheda and Ravel Morrison on loan for a year.

Following Neil Danns' transfer to Leicester there will be no more departured from SE25 unless any significant offers came in. A whole host of Premiership clubs are believed to be looking at Wilfried Zaha but it believed the club want at least £5million for him.

I can't hope for it to be true. If it is it would be hard to turn down. But equally he would be a very hard palyer to replace. And before everyone goes on about Boyd & Kightly, yes there are palyers capable of replacing him, but would/could we get them ? In my opinion not all that likely. Virtually every team in the division would want those 2 if available at half sensible money.

VERY VERY RELIABLE SOURCE:

Anthony Gardner has agreed on an improved pre-contract with Crystal Palace. He will be unveiled on Friday as an Eagle.

Just giving info on these two, as I don't know for sure, but Robert Earnshaw will be discussing a contract with Nottingham Forest tomorrow, although he is still expected to sign what is a very good offer from CPFC, especially as he wants a guaranteed first team spot. Also, Mile Jedinak, Australian international, is expected to sign on Friday as well, but that deal remains up in the air.

Reminds me of something I posted 3 years ago ...

Can we kill the Koumas crap. Every team that has had him has follwed the same pattern.

a) Some manager thinks, "He is 'creative' and 'misunderstood'. Let buy him!".
b) He gets bought for a decent though not extravagant fee
c) He plays a few games. Fans swear that he possesses some subtle genius.
d) He somehow get relegated to the bench
e) He then gets relegated to the reserves or put out on loan
f) Transfer rumors start popping up ...
g) [Go back to a]

With Koumas, its always phases d,e and f that scare me. He's never settled at c.

News on Crystal Palace today; talks have been held with Glenn Murray to thrash out terms for the striker. Murray has been offered a new 2 year deal at Brighton and is still considering his options but he is more than likely to go to Crystal Palace although Watford, Millwall, Southampton and Derby are interested in him as well. Craig Forsyth is also someone likely to move to Selhurst Park. The highly rated midfielder was scouted by Freedman on a recent trip to his native Scotland. Others scouted include Derek Riordan, Danny Swanson, Alexei Eremenko and Craig Conway. Freedman is also looking to add a CB, a CM, a AM, a WF and 2/3 CF. At CB, Matthew Killgallon, Andrew Davies, Gianni Zuiverloon, Sean St Ledger, Danny Wilson, Danny Shittu, Garry Kenneth, Gareth McAuley and Jeffrey Bruma are all being looked at alongside Anthony Gardner. At CM, targets include Jack Cork, Kagiso Dikgacoi, Jose Semedo, Nick Montgomery, Keith Southern, Aron Gunnarsson, Matt Oakley, Hayden Mullins and Martin Rowlands. And in the AM position, David Norris, Don Cowie, David Jones, Michael Tonge, Jordi Gomez, Alexei Eremenko, Danny Swanson, Bjorn Helge Riise, Ramon Nunez, Danny Green and Akos Buzsaky are all targets being touted. For a winger, George Boyd, Michael Kightly, Keith Treacy, Jacob Butterfield, Iain Hume, Marc Pugh, Anthony Pilkington and Andrew Driver. Up front, those being looked at are James Vaughan, Adam Le Fondre, Jordan Rhodes, Derek Riordan, Craig Davies, Glenn Murray, Simon Cox, Darius Henderson, Ishmael Miller and Rob Hulse. Leaving will be Adam Barrett, Neil Danns, Calvin Andrew and Andy Dorman.

Real Madrid are also set to let Juan Lopez leave for Crystal Palace for £200,000 with an option to buy back if the player if he develops well.
Craig Forsyth is also a done deal for £100,000 and will be completed soon also Graig Gardner is a cert to sign on a 3 year deal after his release from Hull City. Jose Semedo will also sign (Charlton fans need to get their heads out the sand on this). Jordan Rhodes will also sign for £650,000 and complete and sign a 3 year deal.

Other targets for Palace include Marco Van Ginkel of Arnhem, Jose Baxter of Everton, Kagisho Dikagcoi of Fulham and Nathaniel Chalobah of Chelsea.

I don't understand people that label him as not good enough. Do you not remember our defensive record in his last season with us?

I understand labelling him a prick though.

Hudson was one of the whipping boys for sections of our fans, just like Watson and Routledge were - terrible bit of business letting him go when he then cost Cardiff over a million from charlton. His positioning was good and alongside Fonte one of the best CB partnerships we have had in recent times. Paddy would be the weak link if he came back. He was so bad at Cardiff they made in captain, just as we had done. Hudson would not come back here to be abused so who can blame him for not declaring a 'soft' spot for us?

Turmoil at Coventry City (CCFC)

The club have borrowed on future season ticket sales to pay wages and outstanding bills to avoid another FL transfer embargo. Although this has raised a few million it will only last until the end of July due to outstanding debts. Expect Andy Thorn to bring in a few loan players for the start of the season, then the board will place the club into ADMINISTRATION. (expect some player sales Clingan, Cranie, Juke)

SISU (current owners) have no money or will to keep the club, whilst it's losing so much money. CCFC will start the season in administation, but waiting in the wings with a consortium of chinese/asian investors led by Gary Hoffman. Hoffman has his hands tied by the main investors who realise that City will become debtless after a creditors agreement is signed post administration.

With SISU out of the picture expect a takeover and funds pumped into the club. The new investors aim to stay in championship, and will make major investment in the squad in January to fulfill that aim. The new owners will seek to establish new income streams immediately via purchase of the stadium.

He has so far had only 1 good season. In 2009 he scored 10 goals (from 23 matches) in the top flight here. Just getting a few minutes at the end of matches this season..not a regular.

They rejected the offer of cash plus Calvin Andrew, whilst Jermaine Easter has no intention of moving to Norway as a make weight. Kenny Cooper is 'meh'. Not good. Not great. A 'ok' target man. He's the MLS's version of Scowcroft.

If CPF2010 want a good MLS striker, check out Kandji. He had a bunch of Premiership teams sniffing around last year before he got injured. Reminded me of a poor man's Jo: tall, quick, good ball control. He should be going through rehab right now and will probably be ready by the end of August.

For us, I think Omar Cummings would be ideal. Fast, good finisher, about the right age (experienced), impressed on trial at Villa before he had work permit problems, or maybe something with compensation with MLS? Can't really remember.
