I got home, found that I had lost my keys, so couldn't get into my flat, so I phoned said ladies, apologised profusely and made arrangements for next week instead.

Really sorry to hear that. I remember when Eddie was just over a year old, and he needed an operation under GA. Watching the little chap being wheeled into the theatre was one of the toughest things I have done. I am not ashamed to say that I was in tears.

Of course he was fine, just as JAT will be - but it's a tough time for a parent.

After a burst eardrum I was temporarily 60% deaf in my right ear for a good while. As awful as it was, I would still never want to be blind.

I wouldn't wish to be either though.

I've got 2 in one ear and one in the other ear.

I decided to have the second piercings done in my ears about 20-odd years ago. Sat down, they did one of them and it hurt so much, I wouldn't let them do the other ear.

I very rarely wear an earring in the second one though.

In fact, I very rarely wear earrings in any of my ears.

Yeah, I think less is more in all forms of body decoration for women. No piercings or tats. Minimal makeup and jewellery.
