Yeah, I went to remote places and didn't come across any bandits. We weren't even warned about any. Who told you that?! Came across some nice people though.
I went across by boat from Corfu and the man on the boat told us to watch out for the bandits.
The non-bandits we met were very pleasant though - I just thought the country itself (or certainly the bit I saw) was a bit barren and nothingy. But a short day trip isn't fair to judge it on really :)

I'll have to dig out my photographs and see if I took pictures of them - the machine-gun posts, not the bandits, as I didn't actually spot a bandit.

I think he was probably on a wind up.
I guess it's more barren than Corfu, but once you get further into the country there's scenery far better than anything you'd get in the UK. 50p for a pint was great too!

Oh, I quite agree with you.
Like Facebook, which I don't have, I find the whole thing rather invasive. I don't think it was ever really intended to log someones every move.
But each to their own, I suppose :)

A study at the weekend revealed that out of all the 'friends' people have on FB - which I too don't have - the average number of 'friends' that they really communicate with is five.
I can manage to keep in touch with more than five people via the telephone.

I just learnt that the men in my office are a bit pathetic.
I had 2 Crunchie bars, so I gave one to my brother and was going to eat the other one myself.
Then one of the men said he had paid for one of the Crunchie bars and that I was only entitled to half of it.
So we had a big barney about it.
Now I have no Crunchie bars at all :(
What's pathetic about paying for something and wanting to have it rather than watch someone else who didn't pay for it get it scot-free because they share DNA with someone?
