No excuse. You can just postpone all the Manly Things until this afternoon. Gives you more time to think about them and plan them, then decide you don't have what you need to complete said Manly Things :)

Today I learnt that nixed is actually a word!

I've wasted, on and off, 5 hours trying to figure out what Maz meant to type instead of nixed, before doing what I should have done 4 3/4 hours ago and googled it, and it is a real word.

That's one to add to my vocabulary :)

False too-

Divorce in Saudi Arabia is primarily the man’s prerogative. Women’s rights in this regard are so limited that they are almost impossible to exercise. To gain a divorce, women, unlike men, must prove harm or fault by the spouse, be able to pay compensation, face the risk of losing custody of children, and be able to convince an all-male judiciary. The problems are compounded by severe restrictions on women’s movement, total dependency on male relatives and social stigma attached to divorce.

A woman's testimony does not carry the same weight as that of a man. In a Shari'a court, the testimony of one man equals that of two women.

Female parties to court proceedings such as divorce and family law cases generally have to deputize male relatives to speak on their behalf.

So, to answer your question, women in Saudi Arabia can get divorced technically speaking, but without the husbands support in such an action it is highly unlikely to succeed.

I hope this helps.

Mr B just told me divorce papers will be filed if I don't get up to Sainsbury and get some food.

My ex wife actually mentioned the BBS in our divorce papers.

It wasn't because I was on the BBS.

It was because he was hungry.

Is he not able to do the shopping himself? If he were that hungry, he would!

Cup of tea.

Big think.
I don't drink tea - but have had coffee and a big think. Still don't know what to do. Or, should I just leave it be?
I know though that knowing what I have been told, I need to do something drastic now.

Not sure how to take it other than negatively, really.

Anyhow, you're probably right so I'll take your advice.

He didn't want to go on his own because he never buys what we actually need, so I said I'd go with him, but he meant right that minute, whereas I didn't :D

No point leaving it if it will play on your mind.

Follow your instincts. If you need to do something about it, do it.
