1) Thought I would have to pay about £900 tax, got a £800 rebate instead :lux:
2) Thought the washing machine had packed up so I was :( Then realised I hadn't turned the water back on after fixing a washer :lux:
3) Thought my electric razor had packed up half-way through a shave, but it just had flat batteries and I hadn't turned the socket on :lux:
4) Woke up this morning, grumpy about having to get up and go to work, then remembered it was Saturday :lux:

Today I learnt that this place exists. Opposite where I was working it's The Crossbones cemetery that was for 'single ladies', a euphemism for prostitutes. Down a back street call Red Cross Way in Southwark, hundreds of 'ladies of the night' were buried. The gate is covered with thousands of comments and tributes and is really quite moving, and a bit creepy.
I was just about to take a photo when a group of tourists turned up and huddled around the gate reading the inscriptions, so this website will have to do.

It is not lawful to reveal details of jury-room discussions.

I have learnt that the team who has gone the longest between conceding goals in a World Cup tournament is Switzerland who played 4 matches in 2006 without conceding a goal (lost to Ukraine in the second round on penalties) and didn't concede until the 75th minute of their second match in 2010.

If a referee gets in the way when a player is in the penalty area, and through being in the way he stops a goal being scored, would he award a penalty to the team who could have scored?

No, the referee is deemed part of the "playing field".
Instead of answering the question, let me ask you one in return - why should the other side suffer for the ref's mistake?

No, the referee is deemed part of the "playing field".
What if the ball bounced off the ref and out of play?
Equally, why should the other side miss a goal scoring opportunity through the ref being in the way?As we know oh so well, a goal scoring opportunity is not always the same as a goal.
There are many missed throughout any game.

Yep.
But what if the goalie was out of his area (for whatever reason), and the player was literally right in front of an empty goal and the ref got in the way?
They give penalties for a supposed goal scoring opportunity if another player does something naughty, so why would it be any different for a ref?
