From that Millwall site:
Central Defender
Born: London
13th August 1969
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 12st 8lb
Scott made over 100 League appearances for Wimbledon before joining The Lions, initially on loan, in October 1996. Unfortunately, after impressing during that two month loan spell, he broke his ankle at Bristol City just as he was about to sign for Millwall on a full-time basis. The deal eventually went through during the summer of 1997 but Scott's first full season at The Den was hampered by injury and illness. Last term he made 35 first team appearances, but injury in February allowed Joe Dolan to come in and claim his place in the side and Scott was only able to force his way back into the picture following Dolan's mishap at Fulham in April Fitz captained the side for much off the season prior to his injury.
Previous clubs: Wimbledon, Sheffield United (loan).
Lions debut: v Chesterfield 12/10/96
Millwall record: 56 League appearances, 1 goal.
Other competitions: 8 appearances

Do you know I still cannot get over how good it feels to be talking about transfers again rather than going out of business

I also read somewhere that we were on the verge of signing Steve Sedgley. I hope not - he's CRAP!

He is bad, but nowhere near as bad as Fitzgerald, who is truly the pits.

I think Sedgeley is okay and reasonably solid. Seems to score against us everytime we play Wolves, but then that's not saying much... http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/supergrin.gif

I rate Woozely. I think he is still young and has a lot to learn but he's go it! He might actually be better on the left though?!?!?

I think we'd be mad to let a player with obvious potential join the scum!

Fitzgerald and Sedgely are both average players I would say.
I do agree that Woozley is much better than either. David is already a very good player and I really believe he will improve with leaps and bounds this season.
Our central three in defence next season (if we play 5-3-2) should be Fan, Woozley and Mulins, although I would like us still to sign another experienced defender plus two strikers.
Oh - and yes - it is great to finally be taking transfers again !! http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
SJ - I have a shopping list of reasonable players if you have the cash !

What happened about Linvoy Primus??? Was it just speculation and is he any good??? I believe he is still available.
Primus was training with Portsmouth last week
with a view to a move there.
From teamtalk 17th July
Primus impresses
Trialist Linvoy Primus stepped up his claim for a permanent move to Fratton Park with a fine second half display at Dorchester on Friday.
The 26-year-old came on in the 46th minute to slot into Pompey's back four and wasted little time in getting accustomed to the regimented and controlled style of play that Tony Pulis has instilled in his squad since taking over in January.
Primus left Reading at the end of last season after turning down the offer of new terms from Royals' manager Alan Pardew.
The defender said he made the decision to leave the Madejski Stadium because he wanted to play at the higher level again after a taste of First Division football with The Royals two years ago.
Despite Reading being rated as joint favourites to gain promotion from Division Two this coming season, Primus is ambitious and fancies the step up sooner rather than later.
He will certainly have given Tony Pulis plenty to think about after coming on in the second half to help Pompey avenge last year's 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Dr Marten's League side, with Pompey running out comfortable 2-0 winners.

Would go for Primus over Fitzgerald any day!
I can't believe that Coppell would bring in a 31 year old centre back cos we don't exactly need any more experience there do we!

I was flicking through teletext last night and came across this article, unfortunately it has nox been taken off but this was the drift of it.
Colchester United are still waiting to hear an answer from Millwall captain Scott Fitzgerald about their offer of contract to him who is available on a free transfer.
Fitzgerald is thinking over the offer and it is believed also he has an offer from Division One side Crystal Palace.
It is thought Fitzgerald will make a decision on his future nexr week.
So it looks like Steve has made him an offer, personally i've never seen him play and honestly never heard of him.
What are your thoughts?

First thought is that he seems to be a bit injury-prone.
See http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/
Don't really know anything about him though.

The Left-Footed 'Sedgley' was certainly versatile in that he could be deployed in 'Midfield' and 'Defence'.
The laddie possesed a 'Long Throw' and was very adept at 'Free Kicks' over a 'Wall'.

Versitile in the sense that you could pick him in either midfield or defence, and he would be equally shite in both?
