Holmesdale Online report that Jordan, having earlier failed to get Le Tissier on loan, is now going back with a bid. Tiss would come as long as he always gets a game, apparently.

I'll believe it when it happens.
And not before.

I wouldn't mind him and i'm sure he'd put in a more effort than Mullins and Morrison put together at the moment.

Here's the full report from "Teamtalk"
(And HOL gave us crap for nicking there pics)
Eagles chairman Simon Jordan is preparing a bid to lure former England international Matt Le Tissier away from The Dell.
Jordan has already failed with a bid to take the talented midfield man on loan but Glenn Hoddle is prepared to listen to a bid for him.
Le Tissier has struggled to hold down a first team place under Hoddle who is under pressure to slash Saints wage bill.
Jordan has said that he has heard that Le Tissier would be willing to move to The Eagles for regular first team football.
The 31 year old is now fit after missing the start of the season with a number of niggling injury problems from the summer.
Alan Smith has been keen to add some more experience to his side for the past few weeks and Le Tissier would be an ideal signing.
But it remains to be seen if Jordan will make a formal offer to the Premier League side for the Channel Islander.

On thursday last week, a workmate of mine, saw Emily Symons(Marilyn from Home & Away)at Waterloo station.Living in deepest darkest Hampshire we know she is the girlfriend of Le God.Plucking up the courage to say hello to her,cos she really is stunning,he asked her if it was true about her boyfriend talking with Palace,as i had told him there was a rumour. Apparently she said that Matt was really interested & had talked to a friend at Selhurst but Hoddle didnt want him to go.So i guess there may be some truth in this rumour.

What do you think the So'ton fans would think if Hoddle sold him to us! They all love him just like we love Coppell.

I guess the friend he spoke to was probably Glenn Cockerill or Neil Ruddock.

I thought you were going to say we'd signed Emily Symons for a minute! She's quite strong up front. I'd be praying for shirt swapping at the end of the game. Think of the crowd sizes!

Even if we do sign him, or come to that anyone else, what difference would he make in a side that doesn't want to play for their manager. I think there is enough quality in the side, and yes Le Tiss would be a great addition especially from freekick situations which we appear to waste so many of, but the main thing missing at the moment is motivation, and I don't think Tiss would appreciate being slagged off from the touchline anymore than the current players do.

He is a quality player when on song but I don't think he would be the ideal signing. He is a player that likes things to go his way and tends to drift out of games when they don't. I also have my doubts about him fancying the hustle and bustle of Nationwide football.
If he is cheap (ie. a million tops) then it might be worth a go but not otherwise. I think Rodger is a much better bet for the kind of side we have at the moment so I would be much more concerned about keeping him than getting Le Tissier.

It wasn't the size of the crowd I was thinking of!!

I would be very excited at the thought of Le Tiss turning on his class in Palace colours.
My main concerns would be:
(a) Can we afford his wages?
(b) Is he going to spend most of each season injured?

Wait a minute, if we sign him, it's another ugly player to add to the squad, and ugly players don't get modelling / sportswear / promotional jobs as much as the pretty boys (cf Beckham, Carlo Nash). Hence more committment to the team. Or am I starting to argue with the same rational as John Gregory?

If he did join us you know for sure we probably wouldn't get another penalty all season!!

My opinion is that he's a luxury player and should only be signed if he's available on a free transfer as he's bound to be on astronomical wages. I'm sure a few fairweather supporters who would normally only watch us in the premiership would crawl out of the woodwork to see him play, but not enough to make any significant difference to the gate receipts. What worries me most about him is that it's possible that he's a mate of Ruddock's and we've already seen the disturbing influence he's having on the younger players!

I'll probably get shot down in flames for this but I wish people would rate players on their football performances and not their off pitch antics.
Some of footballs greatest players were complete nutters off the field but as long as they produced on the pitch then evreyone was happy.
Le Tissier is,on his day, class and if you'd said last season we'd be linked with him I would have laughed, I'm just glad we're now in the position to sign players like him.

Just like the Gazza rumours when Goldberg was in charge, Palace are linked with a fat b*stard that is on a large salary and very injury prone, leave him with Hoddle.

I just don't want us to be a laughing stock any more, is that too much to ask?
