just daydreaming a bit at work,
2. Division looming, smaller grounds,
leg-biting defenders, that sort of thing.
Personally, I love to remember the 70s
when Malcolm Allision invented the Eagles and we got stick all the time.
Last thing I rembember was Big Mal being sacked by Fisher Athletic. What happened to him since then?

A posting for memory Lane, but whilst you've reminded me of that era I'll just say how simple things seemed back then.
Rogers, Whittle, Taylor, Posseee, Swindle, Hilaire, Sansom et al. Do you think in 25 years time people will look back and think - Woozley, Carlisle, Frampton, Morrison, Brabury et al, with fondness?

In 25 years time adverts for milk will feature little scouse kids pronouncing "Crystal Palace. Who are they?"

I'm with you Ruediger, all this doom and gloom it might be good times ahead!
He smokes cigars and he drinks champagne,
Malcolm, Malcolm,
Me smokes cigars and he drinks champagne
Malcolm Allison.

One of the best - Mr. Fedora himself.
I wish he would come back
He's sort the B*stards out.

Trouble is, Goldberg (or Hapgood) would make him wear a pork pie hat rather than a fedora!
