Every fan must have an old kit or autograph of a favourite player that reminds them of the good times.
I have old kits from '90 when we reached the F.A cup final,I got dougie to sign my shirt after he scored against Wolves, these are all good examples of what YOUR favourite palace item may be. But my favourite bit of Palace memorabilia is a card from '90 when we reached the f.A cup final, on the card is a picture of all the balloons and the Palace fans before the kick off, and inside it has the whole of the squads autograph, Coppell's.Wright's,Thomas',Martyn's etc.
That's my favourite...but what's yours???

I've got loads of old programmes going back to the 1930's,and various signed photos etc.But it's my collection of shirts i'm most fond of,I've got all the repro' ones that Toffs make, and some brilliant ones that Palace Echo put out a few years ago,and all the ones from the last 10 years or so.But pride of place goes to my signed 97/98 away shirt,Lombardo 7 is written on the back, and it's signed by the whole squad. It dates back to the first game of that season, when Palace beat Everton.I bought it at an auction that was held on Merseyside for a childrens charity.I'll get it framed one of these days.

My favourite piece of memorabilia was a birthday present this year from one of my best mates:
He managed to get Lombardo's autograph in the back page of his diary at an England game at Wembley and he gave to me. Coming a just a few weeks after we sol the great man, it was one the best presents I've ever had.

I missed the last train home from Sheffield Utd in 1995. It was Iain Dowies last game and as I know Dean Gordon quite well,I got a lift home on the team coach.I nearl had a w@nk!! Well I got all the players to sign my top.Nigel Martyn,Rhys Wilmott,Ray Houghton and Darren Pitcher were on the next table to me playing cards and I nicked their scorecard.Thats my favourite two items.I'll never forget the sight of Dowie walking down the motorway exit after we dropped him off with a black bin liner over his shoulder.I also gat free beer and Mcdonalds on the bus!!And Ray Lewington gave me a lift home from Mitcham to Thornton Heath.
My other fav. item is the words to Glad All Over, given to me at the 1990 cup semi final v scousers.
Those were the days my friend,
I thought they'd never end,
then Goldberk came,
and f*cked my life around.

I got Mark Goldbergs auto........opps !.
Do photo copies count ? My Mum (Now in Palace Heaven) dad and brother Dave were in the crowd when we won ''that'' playoff game and Coppel chucked his running pants into the crowd which my bro caught and inside the pants were the team sheet and tactics on hotel paper.

At the Burnley game in 1979 i was given a scarf by my old mans mate who was in tears. It was a plain white one with blue & red stripes.I have it at the bottom of my wardrobe and bring it out every now & again to remember that great night. 52,000!!! Selhurst will never see a gate like that again.

It's definately got to be my Palace shirt from the 94/95 Premiership season with "BOWRY" and his famous squad number of "15" on the back. I got it signed by the man himself as well!

A Tickets Only sign "procured" from the Arthur Wait following our play off victory in 89. On it I stuck the match ticket and the date.
Also a newspaper clipping of Lombardo wheeling away being chased by Dyer after scoring at Goodison. Just a cracking photo.
And a photo of McGoldick after scoring at Spurs with me in the crowd in the background. When I first saw it in the programme I thought I was Phil Barber, never twigged it was me until some mates got a copy for me.

I have 2 pieces v. close to my heart.
The first is a wedding card signed by the God Coppell and 90 Cup Final Squad (my wife had sent an invitation to Coppell and whoever would like to come, of course not exactly being footie mad she didn't realise we were away to Luton that day ... or did she?)
The other is a 1947-48 Supporters Club book that my Grandad (who is also in Palace Heaven) gave me and it's his fault my viens run Red n' Blue.

My favourite Palace item is a laminated front page of the Sun from the morning after the Cantona incident. The whole front page is taken up with the guy who got kicked in his Palace shirt looking glum and the headline "CANTONA'S BOOT STUDS SLAMMED INTO MY HEART". I love it for two reasons - firstly for the subtly understated headline and second because of the fact that Palace takes up the whole of the front page.

I am the proud owner of Mr. Neil Shipperley's left adidas predator that he threw into the crowd at Wembley during the days that we could beat Sheffield United. It still has Wembley turf in the studs and Wembley touch line scuffs. I am sad to say that I do treasure it, along with harbouring hopes that one day he'll return. Any favourable comparisons with Bradbury just don't ring true for me.
Part of me does wish however that it was Hopkins right boot I had from that day....

When Peter Taylor was called into the England team all those years ago (he was one of only a few 3rd Div. players ever to be picked)they
had a photo session at the training ground and the only 'England' thing on offer was my rosette which he proudly pinned on his shirt
for the newspapers.
PS Does anyone know if any old Palace 'things' are for sale anywhere? eg parts of old Holmesdale Road etc?
A copy of Power to the Palace signed by Peter Taylor. My younger brother and I waited for ages outside the Marine Hotel, Troon for the England Coach to arrive. I don't know who was more shocked Kevin Keegan who came over to speak to us and found we were only interested in meeting our Hero or Peter Taylor to find two young Palace Fans in the middle of Scotland waiting to meet him.
Also I would also like to mention the lump of concrete that used to be one small part of the Holmesdale Terrace which now resides in my Rockary.

When I were a lad in the seventies my mum won a signed by-the-palace-first-team ball in my school's raffle. To my horror she promptly handed it to my kid brother a Chelsea bluenose. Moral : Life is not fair.

Little al, I can't believe you have one of those lyric sheets from the 1990 semi - does it have "don't let the b@stards shout you down" on it?
If so, it was one of the 5,000 sheets I printed up the night before. Me and a few mates erm, appropriated some keys to my office at the time and when the pub kicked out photocopied/guillotined the lot under the cover of darkness! Not the easiest job when you're pissed.
The excessive use of photocopy paper was never noticed - thank god.

1. Progamme and photos from the day we beat Fulham 3-2 in 1969 to get promotion to the top flight for the first time (it was only my third Palace game as a kid).
2. Champagne bottle (empty now!) with Palace label, specially made for the 1990 FA Cup Final.
3. An old rosette from the late Seventies that hangs above my bar at home.

Neil, yes it does!!It's only a small piece of paper, and I have it framed on my wall at home.I don't know why I love it so much,it just reminds me of the best ever day I had following Palace. It was,in my opinion, better than any of the Wembley trips. Thanks Neil http://cpfc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have a 1974 red & blue shirt that my Dad's mate got from the club for my birthday. It was signed front & back, but I wore it all the time so the names were washed off. It's a number 11 shirt, with little 11s on the sleeves. I'd like to think the almighty Peter Taylor had worn it somtime.

I've got a limited edition Palace shirt. It's the FA Cup Final one (red & blue) with 'FLy Virgin To LA' and a no 10 on the back. The club said that only five were ever made and were advertising them as 'Ian Wrights' shirt'. Somebody forgot he was substiute that day!
My mate has got the old Holmsdale clock in his garage.

One of my favourite Palace related possessions is a copy of the Sunderland Echo printed just minutes after we kicked their asses in the Cup in '76 at Roker Park. There was a match report and a picture of Palace fans running to the station after the train had broken down. I was on that train and am sure I am in the picture.
A programme with my name and address as a winner of the palace in the past competition which won me a lunch and place in the directors box at the time Big Mal was in charge, together with the letter from Alan Leather, then club secretary, telling me I'd won!
Various old programmes, including Peter Taylor's debut for the England Under 23's (as was then I think) at Selhurst Park against Czechoslovakia - and he scored in front of his home crowd.

Well I have a few odd things I've collected but very few Palace bits (bar loads of programmes dating back to 40's, one from game v man utd with George Bests autograph.)
Anyway, I would be prepared to pay up with some cash for any of the above mentioned items (God knows I've spent enough money on Palace over the years!)
So, if you want to put some prices up and/or arrange a meet for viewing let me know.

So if any of you, with bit to sell, drive to the game we could meet up before hand (possibly in a pub car park!) and I'll have a look?

I got the following but have since lost them..
Ian Wrights shin-pads, 1 of Jeff Hopkins' socks and Alex Dyer's left boot (for he was sub) after the Blackburn game.
After the Watford game when we were champions, the team came back out onto the pitch in "Champions" white t-shirts, and while they were doing a lap of honour, I pursuaded Gareth to give me the shirt off his back, which he later autographed with the message "Best wishes to the bloke who nicked my shirt" - top man.
I have also got a programme from 76-77 season where I am in a team picture on the Palace guard page of the under 12 team.
Aidan
The 1995 Palace shirt signed by the team, and this was when we still had a team, Martyn, Shaw, Coleman, Salako, Armstrong and the rest. Also a red Palace scarf with Crystal Palace written on it and diagonal thin blue lines crisscrossing the scarf,I don't think they've sold those for ages but I found this one about 5 years ago on the Holmsdale Road, it was in really good order as well.
