I'm gunning for the "Anorak of the Week" title....http://cpfc.org/ubb/embarass.gif http://cpfc.org/ubb/embarass.gif http://cpfc.org/ubb/embarass.gif Anyone got any memories of WBA games in the past/Hawthorns trip they could post here.

My old company had a box at West Brom, when we won a penalty up there a couple of years ago I did the decent thing and thrashed about the box like a good 'un doing my best to wind up the home fans just below the window. Dean Gordon did his bit and missed the penalty - unsurprisingly the natives celebrated like a cup winning goal, oh well.

Another trip I made up to West Brom coincided with the greatest managerial decision ever - to build a defence around Mike Phelan. He was bloody dreadful. Did Dean Gordon gat a hat trick in that game?

Around 1987ish, went to a New Years eve party with at some old University friends in Loughborough. Girlfriend(now my wife) in tow,
we left there early on New Years day, very hungover etc, to see the game at WBA. I think it was a noon kick off. I had not forewarned her of this lovely surprise, but she was used to this sort of thing! Anyway, if I remember correctly we won 2-0. There were about 1,000 Palace there, standing behind goal. Fond memories.

New Year's Day 1974

We won 1-0 at home and D D D Don Rogers got the only goal in the Whitehorse Lane end.

Talking of anorak of the week - Neil the Eagle - in your 10 great games of the 90's you refer to the 3-3 game against Blackburn "when jolly got the last minute equaliser" - well Neil - what can I say? - I think you'll find it was another Simon who got the goal in question.

Neil - have I out-anoraked you?

"Jeff Astle, Bryan Robson, Frank Skinner, the 3 degrees, John "bleeding head" Wile, Derek Statham, Ron Atkinson, can you hear me?, Ron Atkinson, your boys will take one hell of a beating tomorrow.
