Cliches here we come but anyone got any opinions on the best player to pull on the red and blue?
Budgie Byrne? Ian Wright? Kenny Sansom?

Imagine a man going on a journey.....
Personally I've got 3 favourites. My first 2 were Peter Taylor and Kenny Sansom, although I actually never saw either of them play for Palace!
Of more recent times, however, it has to be Nigel Martyn - it seems a long time ago that we were the FIRST club to pay £1m for a goalkeeper! Despite a dodgy start (lost 2-3 home to Spurs in his first game) for me he showed true loyalty by staying when others left. He will always get my appreciation when he visits Selhurst.

Since I've been going (87-) I can think of 3 that I can't seperate: Nige, Brighty, and Attillio.
All fantastic players, but I think what sets them apart was their attitudes to the club and the fans.
It still amazes me the effect that Lombardo had on me despite playing only a handful of games (in comparison to the other two).

It's possible that there's not much response because quite a few people have replied to threads like this a few times before. Look under the topic headed "Palace legends - all time heros" further down the list in this forum.
