Best Palace Goal

Over the years we have seen many great Palace goals, but what was the best ever scored by a Palace player? I'll start off by saying Ian Wright, at home to Brighton, 35 yard volley across the area, into the top corner.

No contest for me. Jim Cannon against Robson's Ispwich where we won 4-1 to go top of the laegue in 1979.

Not so much the best goal I've seen at Palace, but Deano's rocket in injury-time vs Derby at Selhurst a few years back was one of the most memorable. We were throwing everything at them and just couldn't get the ball in the net. Then Deano ventured forward...I think Paul Stewart headed it down.....and from about 30 yards....the net in the Whitehorse end almost came away from the stantion!

Hoppo's goal following about 20 passes up at Bolton's old place a few years back was quality all over though. Ole, Ole, Ole!

Okay I've not seen all the goals over the last 30 years I've been following Palace, but Jim Cannon's fourth against Ipswich IS the best ever Palace goal.
