A mix of history and topical events now! Hugh Malyan, Croydon council leader is defending the case for Palace to stay in the Croydon area, and not move to Gillingham or elsewhere. Does anyone remember when it was proposed that Crystal Palace should be changed to "Croydon Palace", I suppose to appeal to a larger audience from the vast population of Croydon. Anyway, the proposal obviously failed, but where did it come from, the board itself?
