From last season i'd have to go with "Did you come by caravan" to the Steptoe impersonators.
Although I do have a soft spot for "You'll be dead by 45" sung at a Port Vale fat-boy.

Are we talking best or funniest? The best from the last couple of years has to be "Just One Lombardo".
The funniest, well there's just too many to mention, we are too funny for our own good sometimes! Mind the one that made Soccer AM's "Third Eye" a couple of season's back was good. When we played West Ham (before the lights went out) and Lombardo ran the ball out of play, one of the 'Appy 'Ammers leapt forward to give Tillio the old winker sign and fell through the safety gate, flat on his arse! The Palace all joined in with "She fell over, she fell over!"

Posted this before but:
Last few seasons 'You're just to good to be true' - Lombardo.
This season:
a brief reprise of 'Climb, Climb Sunshine Mountain' at Tranmere.
Ashley Ashley Ashley Cole, scored a fc*king
blinding goal, hes on loan from Arsenal etc.
and of course 'Bouncy Bouncy, if you can't do the Bounce, you're a scouse' also at Tranmere. Surely one for next season.
Road Rage by Catatonia was amusing for ten minutes at the Philarmonic in Liverpool.

The best song of the season for me was the inspired "dough, we haven't got much here" song to the tune of "Doa a deer". Mind you, as I had a hand in that I am a bit biased.
A close second is the "Alcohol" song, to the tune of "Ohhh Ashley Cole". A true classic and one I will be singing in Benidorm this summer.

That dough one was good but unfortunately a bit too clever for the younger generation in the Lower Tier who can only think of songs to the tune of Go West or Three Lions, hence it never took off in the way it should have! I neeed to learn the words fully, but I will try and get that started from my Block C seat. Join in or else!!
The best song has to be the one aimed at the fat woman in the Huddersfield end at the end of the the 99 season. She took her shirt off and covering her very flabby body was a thin vest - NOT A PRETTY SIGHT! This caused a blast of the immortal `Get your kit ON for the lads!'

I personally enjoyed screaming "Where were you at QPR" to Miller probably more than most others.
Also to the fat (PV?) supporter sitting on his own in the Arfur "Did you eat your other fans?"
Although not sung at Palace, the Southampton fans at the last game of the season singing to the Wimbledon fans "Where were you when you were good?" made me piss myself laughing.

My favourite was at the home game against Charlton singing " whats the point in going up?" that did make me chuckle. Also I found it very touching when we sang " we're proud of you" at the last home game of the season very appropriate, looking forward to lots more singing at Selhurst next season
In no particular order
'That Terry Pheelan'
'Fernando'
'Did the doctor kill your wife?'

That "dough" song and also the Ashley Cole/ Alochol remix.
Were you singing that with me in the Cherries beer garden after the Blackburn game?

Can anyone remember back in the 70's (Yes, I'm an old Holmesdale dinosaur!) - in order to curb bad language on the terraces, the Palace in conjunction with the Croydon Advertiser, issued a songsheet given to every person as they went through the turnstiles, with riveting lyrics like "Come on you Palace, We've come to cheer you along." - (to the tune of Roll Out The Barrel) and "Onward Crystal Palace to Division One" etc., etc.
I think it was a wednesday night, I can't remember who we were playing, but we had a good bonfire when we stuck them in the middle of the Holmesdale and set light to them. Also, "Does the Copper want a wee wee?"- originated at the Crystal Palace National Recreation Centre in a friendly at the start of the season v Arsenal.
If you can remember this you're as old as I am! That's why I am Palace til I die. Please don't go to Gillingham or Palace will die.

"Onward Crystal Palace to Division One"
It’s a bit scary that I remember the words to this. It was to the tune of “Onward Christian Soldiers” and went:
“Onward Crystal Palace to Division One
Good-bye Cardiff City, Charlton, Rotherham
Soon we shall be rising
Selhurst Park shall reign
As high as Arsenal’s Highbury and Tottenham’s White Hart Lane”

Why the debate? There's only one song that got me welling up last season and that was `One Stevie Coppell' as sung at Norwich, Tranmere and THAT game v Blackburn.
The song is simple but sums up last season.
