That's the one. Francis Ford Coppola made this and the Rumble Fish back to back and both starred Matt Dillon. Both films were based on novels by S.E Hinton. For me, Rumble Fish was the more stylish with a great cast, however The Outsiders had an amazing pre-fame cast.
