Probably not, give it a few months and they'll probably shut the server down like they did with Tiger 06 once 07 came out. Just lump for 10 Rich, it's going to be the football game to end all football games

Both goals by Owen I think, couldn't get anything going and Andy thoroughly deserved the win. Good game fella.

Wardy 2-0 up and didn't really deserve to be, I pulled it back to 2-2, he bagged what seemed to be a winner in the 87th minute but Udinese faught hard and scored another equalizer to make it a dramatic 3-3 draw. Good game Wardy.

Also, just a suggestion, but would it be worth putting all the fixtures up for the rest of the season so people can play as many as they can, with Fifa10 out in less than a month we might struggle to get the league finished if some people are using up all of the deadline and then some to play their fixtures.

Benfica 2-2 St Etienne
St Etienne blew a two goal lead as Benfica bundled in a couple of sloppy goals before being unluck not to win with a header cannoning off the bar in the 88th minute.

Suazo x3, Cardozo x2
In a game benfica dominated and created lots of good opportunities, Sampdoria were left rueing missing a few gilt edged chances that could have changed the game. 3 goals in the opening half hour and 2 in the last minute gave the scoreline a more lop sided look than the game.

It has been reported that the Chairman has been herd screaming that Scoopster is going to ruin this team. Why the Chairman has not sacked their manager is the question all football pundits are asking!

game crashes during half time.
so start another game, I win first half 3-0, and send message to Wardy saying "3-1 final score?"
he doesn't respond and we play the rest of the game.
final score Hamburg 4 - St Etienne 3.
He is saying he thinks the final score should be 4-4.
I think this is wrong.
The score should either be 3-1 to Hamburg(after we had played 90 minutes in two halves)
or we disregard first game altogether and final score should be 4-3 to Hamburg.
The only way it can be 4-4 is if we played 135 minutes of football, which we don't do.
Difficult as you didn't agree what was going to happen beforehand.
Anyhoo, I am online now to play any Koln games.

You probably should have given him a 1-0 lead then carried on. I would suggest replaying the game and giving him a 1-0 head start.

As i said to you in a message i sent you PalaceMonkey, i was comfortably in control of the first game when i was 1-0, and you have to admit that.
The game then unfortunately crashed, which weren't neither of our fault, but when we restarted the game, as you didn't say what was happening i thought that we were going to start from 0-0 again, this gave me a different mindset as to play a more defensive formation like i did in the first game, and not to play an attacking formation because i didn't know we were playing 45 minutes. Then you score two goals and i thought it was 2-0 to you and i had the whole of the game to try and win it back, but halfway through the first half you sent me a message saying "2-1?" this really pissed me off as i didnt know what was happening.

Drab game. Toby had the best chance to win it, but probably fair to say two sides cancelling each other out.

Every time a game has ever crashed on me, we've always just played the remaining minutes and then worked out the score.
as I said before I'm not fussed about this league at all, I'm going to pull out now.

I am a little dissapointed with only 1-0. I really fancied my chances of Beating Palace Monky at least by 20 - 1.
This will have a drastic effect on my Playoff Chances! Goal Difference is the key to my season!
Is it possible that my game against pm be scored at 20-1 ?.. It was the envitable outcome so would only be fair!

Just been re-reading this thread as have been busy planning the wedding, and in and out of hospital, so haven't had a chance to keep up with the action.
So now I know I've been kicked out of the league, which I don't mind as I just don't have the time atm to commit to this, but as I hadn't been able to read the thread there was no way I would have known that my position was under threat. Again I appreciate action had to be taken, and after the wedding I'll be around more (for Fifa10), but a PM would have got to me straight away.

Completely robbed of anything from the game, probably unfair to say I dominated but Tom didn't deserve to win this one. I had a goal disallowed, his first was an outrageous chip from the tightest angle ever and his second was very debateable as to whether or not it actually crossed the line, watching the replay after the game I'm convinced it didn't but all that aside it was a great game. Well played as ever Tom.

Sporting dominated the first half and were deservedly 2-0 up at half time, fans could have expected Sporting to run up the score, as they did last season when they met Udinese twice. But a more resolute Benfica slowly worked their way into the game and Suazo pulled a goal back. In the last minute Suazo had a chance to equalise but the keeper was click off te line, the ball rebounded out wide to Reyes with every chance to be a hero and score from a difficult angle, instead he decided to be a clown and ballooned his shot off for a throw in.

B: Reyes 27, Suazo 40, Aimar 90
S: Cacau 63, 86
In a close game there was little to separate the teams other than numerous defensive calamities and a bit of fortune that saw benfica run out winners. After benfica found themselves 2-0 up they continued to press forward and even after Cacau pulled one back it was Benfica who were pressing for the next goal. However with just 5 minutes to go a hopeful ball over the top was easily intercepted by Luisao who headed it towards Pereria at right back who in turn chested the ball towards goal allowing Cacau to charge on to it out pace the defence and decisively beat Quim at him near post. As Stuttgart thought they had got a point out of the game a mix up at the back led to a poor clearance falling to Aimar 25 yards out. He instantly controlled it and then set himself to curl a low shot into the far corner for a late late winner!
Well played Kev, think all of the goals had a bit of luck in them, was a good comeback from you and you were unlucky not to grab a point in the end.

Benfica could have had a couple in the first half, but a Koln side trying to adapt a new more attacking formation failed miserably.
Could and should have equalised with one of the last kicks of the game, but went with placement, rather than power and the Benfica keeper saved well.

He tried to place it into the far corner, but a diving save from Quim denied him and Benfica ran out deserved winners.

Cardozo, Aimar, Di Maria
A tight first half ended goalless with neither side managing to carve out any clear cut chances, but that changed in the second half as slack marking allowed Cardozo to head home from 8 yards out relatively unchallenged due to the staggering ineptitude of the Newcastle defender (probably Coloccini). Benfica took hold of the game and although Newcastle pressed forward, they failed to carve open the Benfica defence, even the introduction of Martins failed to spark their attack into life. In the end it was Benfica who added to the score in the dying minutes with Newcastle piling forward, it was first Aimar with a delightful chip and then Di Maria with a beautifully curled shot.

How I can score 4 goals against someone and not win is beyond me, feel very hard done by but in truth never actually went ahead in the game. Feel a draw would have been a fair result but Fozzie took his chances well. With all the chances in the game it could have been 8-8. Thoroughly enjoyable game, well played.

A very open game with Stuttgart hitting the post or the bar at least 3 times before opening the scoring. The french boys made it 3-2 on about 86 mins which made for a nervous finish! Well played Ollie.

Well what can I say! I went 1 nil up and then proceeded to fall apart with the 2nd half being atrocious. I put it down to too much gassing with Chris! well played fella.

The battle of the Bs was a fairly even affair, Bordeaux having the better of the first half going in 1-0 up at the break. Two quick goals seemed to have Benfica on their way to another victory but Bordeaux came back to equalise before withstanding a barrage of corners in the last 5 minutes, including Suazo having a goal ruled out for offside and Di Maria having a point blank shot well saved.

Stuttgart: Hitzelsperger (62), Cacau (78)
MOM - Djalo
Sporting looked comfortable at 4-0 up after the hour, when hitzelsperger grabbed a goal for the german hosts. There were a few worried faces in the crowd when, with 12 minutes to go, Cacau grabbed a 2nd goal for Stuttgart, and with time still remaining, the game wasn't over yet. However Sporting were able to shut Stuttgart out for the remainder of the game, and Djalo grabbed his hat-trick in injury time to make the score 5-2.

And did you just draw the teams randomly rather than do 1v8, 2v7 etc like last season?
And do away goals definitely count as under the fixtures it says they don't?
And I presume like last year if it is level after 2 games but they weren't draws, a third game is used as the decider?

Was not the point of the league that based on your performance i.e top that you got an easier draw, playing 8th and so on. If i'd known it was going to be like this would/ could have not bothered playing anymore games after qualifying for the playoffs, JAT.

Just to back up Ardeo's point, my original intention when I came up with this format was the league position determined your playoff seeding (like American sports). Your the admin and i'm happy to go with your decision, but I think the seeding way makes for a better competition.

very close game koln grabbing a deserved goal right at the end.
Leg 2
Koln 2 - 2 Real Mallorca
Excellent second half from both teams. Mallorca picked up from where they left off in the first half with constant attacks and adruiz picking up his first 2 goals of the season. A stupid mistake from Mallorcas Keeper let Koln grab another draw.
Real Mallorca go through on away goals.

Benfica were well in control of this game totally dominating the first half. On around the hour a nice dinked finish made it 3 nil and Benfica were coasting.
Stuttgart left it late scoring twice in the last 3 mins with a Gomis double, it was GAME ON for the 2nd leg.
Stuttgart 4 Benfica 2
AMAZING GAME. At half time Benfica led 2 nil 5-2 on aggregate, this was were Ali came off the ropes and pounded Benfica, scoring 4 in the 2nd half. Gomis brought the tie level with a hattrick and it was a lovely Cacau finish that won the tie on around the 70 min mark!
Possibly the best playoff series ever, Well Played Ardeo.

Ran a connection test and clocked a ping of 277 and a speed of 0.7megs. Am in a complaints process with O2 as we speak but not a lot I can do during peak times at the mome so unless you are around during the day tomorrow Fozzie then I think this could be my championship hopes over as I'll be moving on to Fifa 10.

Fozzie is through to the next round of the playoff turning me over 2-0 on aggregate. He won the first leg with a 90th minute winner. Two really close games, I had a goal chalked off in the first leg which would have put me 1-0 up but it wasn't to be and ultimately my passing in the final third let me down.

adruiz got a hatrick in the first leg to put Mallorca 3-0 up. Hazy fought back in the second leg winning 3-1, but adruiz with his lovely finish for Mallorcas only goal meant they went through on away goals.

Well I have been ready to play it, but every time I go to , he goes offline! I have tried loads but if he dont want to welll...I dunno
tbf that was only once and that was beacuse my connection lagged out. Last night you invited me, I went on 09, only to find that you had gone offline. So i went back on 10, and you came back on about 10 minutes later, by which time I had dinner! What time are you available tonight, tomorrow, or any other time?

I now officially hate fifa 09 - if you can be arsed go back and play it after playing fifa 10 its awful.
