Patricio Billio scored in Dundee's excellent 2-0 win at former Palace man Ivano Bonetti's Motherwell in the opening day of the Scottish Premiership yesterday.

Question is: didn't Billio spend some time at Palace a season or two ago? I don't think it was long (just a few hours, maybe) but can anyone remember?

Yes he did, during the season we lost our Premiership status, and he played one full game I believe. I don't think he set the world on fire either.

Still Vanessa Feltz could have got a game for us that season- hang on, I think she did, playing under the alias 'Tomas Brolin'.

Woah, Patricio Billio and Ivano Bonetti, two names I didn't think I'd hear mentioned on here again.

We did go through a few players (especially foreigners) that season, didn't we?

Del Rio has just joined Dundee on trial.

...which must now mean that Dundee FC have reached that hallowed status of also being known as "Palace Old Boys FC" - a level reached by Brentford, Leyton Orient and Wolves, among others, at various times in the past....

Including Barnsley last season I believe - I can still hear the chants of 'Are you Palace in disguise?' http://www.cpfc.org/ubb/smile.gif

I think they had Dyer, Shipperley, Thomas and Tuttle at the time!

I saw Billio and what seemed like his entire family, aunts, uncles, cousins etc,buy up half the stock in the club shop after a game (think it was Derby 98).I warmed to him after that.He didn't do a lot on the pitch ,although he showed a fair bit of skill and looked comfortable on the ball, WHEN he bothered to ........and that was the whole point of the problem with him..

The only game I remember Billio being involved in was our 2-1 away win at Newcastle as he came on as a sub for the last 15 minutes or so.

I also saw him play for the reserves in a rough game against Arse,he had no stomach for the battle...

I think Lombardo picked him to start one game, eas it Leicester at home?

I believe it was the crucial home league game against Spurs, when he was picked ahead of Sasa (correct?). As I recall everyone wondered why he justified selection in such a big game.

errrr, haven't you missed out one? - a rather fat one - one that was rather aware of what exactly the crowd thought of him?
