I don't have them all - but I have a few.

I have just uploaded a clip of the John Sewell goal against Gary Sprake and Leeds, as this was mentioned on the 'Why I'm an Eagle' thread.

Here it is:
http://www.rushmere.demon.co.uk/mpg/oops.mpg

http://www.rushmere.demon.co.uk/pics/sewell.jpg

Sewell celebrates a rare goal!

Here is one of the best goals of all time - the Don Rogers' special against Manchester United in 1972:

http://www.rushmere.demon.co.uk/mpg/rog.mpg

Here is the goal from Ian Walsh, which opened the scoring in Palace's 2-0 win against Burnley in 1979 (the game which saw a record crowd at selhurst of over 51,000 and which clinched the Championship for the Eagles)

http://www.h-call-nottm.demon.co.uk/mpg/bnly79_iw.mpg

Here is the Swindlehurst goal from the same game (this is a big one - 1.6mb!)

http://www.c-palace.org/bnly79_2ds.mpg

If anyone has any other request, I will do what I can. I DON'T have the Cannon goal v Ipswich, or any goals pre-1970 unfortunately.

James, do you perchance have my favourite goal, Mark Bright's winner v Millwall 4-3, 1989 I think?

James I love you. I have been trying to get a copy of those Burnley goals for ages. Are they available on any video???? That a game was probably my most memorable Palace match, probably because I was only 12 at the time. I loved that team...pure class.
Just noticed that I can't download Swindlehursts goal

Great stuff James,I was at each one of those games ,does it bring it back.

It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money

It was October 1989. A great game. Here is Bright's winner:

Gavin Axten complained:

I don't know why. I've just downloaded it from the rushmere site and it plays fine. Do you have the latest mdia player? The clip is a long one (over 1mb) so there may be a problem if you are using an old version of the Microsoft Player.

Get the latest version here:

Please E-Mail me if you have continuing problems.

Actually wouldn't mind seeing all the goals from that game, if I remember the 5th was a smashing header from Armstrong.

Even Pompey's goal was rather good, wouldn't mind seeing that one either.

I'm not going to put them all up!

Here is the Southgate goal - and it is an absolute belter. I had forgotten just how good this goal was. Southgate collected the ball well inside his own half and raced passed the whold Pompey defence before powering in an unstoppable shot into the Holmsdale goal. Great stuff:

http://www.rushmere.demon.co.uk/mpgold/pmth4_93.mpg

I'll put up the Armstrong goal in about 15 minutes, then I'm going to have my tea!

Any more requests?

James,

thanx for posting the clip, but do you have it from where Southgate picked the ball up?

It looks magnificent as it is, but he picked it up on the goal line and nutmegged Kristensen, the best goal I've ever seen.

Can you include all that lot mate?

What a fantastic clip that is! I too had forgotten just how classy that was. And the man himself has just scored 3 goals in 2 games for Villa. Always was class.

I had the great pleasure of bumping into Gareth in a bar in George Street (Spanish place, forget the name) 3 years ago, he was there with his wife and parents. He was charming and courteous to a (somewhat drunk) Palace fan who quizzed him to his feelings about CPFC. Said he always looked for Palace's result (said he is a Palace fan too), was enjoying himself at Villa, and playing for England (this was just before Euro 96), and had been to Selhurst that day to see Palace play (he was injured at the time).

An all round star bloke, and I do feel a tinge of pride seeing Southgate doing so well knowing he is Palace born and bred.

This was the fifth goal in the same game, and marked Armstrong's hat-trick. What a way to get it as well! A flying header into the net:

It was an amazing game, and preparing the mpg clips brought back a few happy memories.
Can you remember the Team from that game in 1993?

Yes, yes and yes. Also Andy Gray vs Man City, 1990, 564th attempt at smacking a free kick as hard as possible, on a yellow pitch.

I thought I would bring this old thread back to the top, as many new BBS Subscribers won't have seen it the first time round. I think all the old links work - if they don't please let me know.

What can I say? I have been looking for them damn Burnley goals for over 15 years. To be honest I didn't think that they existed . A big thank you to Archibald Leitch who originally sent me the goals via Tony and James site a week ago (although i cannot find them on there anymore) . That betamax video that you have in your possession James must be like gold dust to a lot of Palace fans. How about pushing it the way of the Palace commercail department in time for me to get a copy for christmas?
