View Full Version : Ex-Eagle Hudson expecting a tough examination

MARK Hudson knows better than most that his Cardiff team can expect a thorough test when Palace visit Wales on Saturday afternoon.
Having spent four seasons at Selhurst Park the 27-year-old defender knows exactly what playing for the Eagles is all about.
Neil Warnock's side have enjoyed upsetting the odds in recent weeks and they will be aiming to do exactly the same when they travel to Cardiff City Stadium.
The Bluebirds are in excellent form having scored 10 goals in their last two matches but Hudson isn't going to be taking anything for granted.
"It's always a hard match when you go up against a side managed by Neil Warnock," he said. "They are on a great run themselves and will be working extremely hard to keep their momentum going.
"Obviously we are feeling confident going into the game but I'll be warning my team mates that they're in for a testing afternoon."
For the full interview and an in-depth special on the Crystal Palace Academy see tomorrow's Croydon Advertiser.

Shouldn't this be in the "Ask A Brightonian" away fans thread?

I'm sure they would be happy to give him as stern an examination as he could cope with.

MARK Hudson is ready to lock horns with former club Crystal Palace on Saturday - and is warning his Cardiff team-mates that they will be tough opposition.
The 27-year-old made 134 appearances for the Eagles before turning down a new deal and opting to join Charlton on a free transfer in May 2008.
Hudson played in both matches between the two sides last season - a 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park before gaining revenge with a victory by the same margin at The Valley.
“It’s been on my mind that the game is coming around because I had four-and-a-bit good years at Palace,” said Hudson, who made a 1million move to Cardiff in the summer after the Addicks lost their Championship status.
“I owe a big thanks to the managers I played under there because they set me on my way.
“With our home form I hope we get a win but it’s going to be a tough afternoon. Most people know how hard Neil Warnock’s teams work and we’ve got to be ready for that."
Don't miss tomorrow's South London Press for the full interview.

Is this now a generic quote, given by anyone about to play any Neil Warnock side?
