Just realised that if we pay Southampton £3m for Beattie,that would make him our most expensive ever player wouldn't it? That lead me to brighten up a boring work day by figuring out the most expensive starting line up we could have

Have I missed any out? looking at that, we never seem to do all that well with big money moves do we?

Have it on good authority that when Goldberk was negotiating for the two Chinese take aways, he was talking in pounds. The Chinese were amazed how much money they received because they thought they were selling in dollars !!!

How can you include Ismael, when the most we paid Strasbourg was about £20 in luncheon vouchers, and with the way he performed on the pitch for us, that was 20 quid too much.
