It has been raining all night up here and the wind is blowing sideways.
Sheff Utd v Millwall has been called off.
Barnsley website says tonight should be Ok but there'll be a further announcement at lunchtime...

This is the time of year when the TRUE supporter shows through;
mid week,
mid February,
mid table
**** weather,
away game,
Yorkshire (as opposed to somewhere handy),
possibility of game being postponed,
current form is cr@p,
morale rock-bottom,
star striker not playing,
dodgy tactics from iffy manager.
And still the real Palace supporters turn up, week in week out, spending their hard-earned cash to see the boys. We've all done it. I won't be there tonight (shame), but I have done so, many many times (I was at Hartlepool when we were knocked out of the cup under Big Mal, I've stood for 3 hours in the rain at Oxford, Arsenal, Coventry and God knows where else).
I know there'll be a decent turn out by the boys from the Holmesdale, and they'll cheer right till the last minute, whatever the score. Then they'll drive home in the rain, to get to bed, if they're lucky, by about 1.a.m.
That's what makes Palace Palace, if you see what I mean.
Beat that Man U, Liverbirds, Arsenal - would your followers do all that, under those circumstances?
I just hope the players appreciate it, and give us a decent game and a big win tonight.
All the best to all you guys (and gals) who are going tonight.
You are the club, you are Palace from Selhurst.
