I read on the guardian website that possibly Sheffield Wednesday would be willing to release Andy Hinchcliffe (sp?) on a free transfer as their debts were mounting up.

What do you think? He'd be worth getting, especially on a free. We could divert any transfer money we would have paid for a player of that quality towards, his probably high wages. Maybe even just offer him a shorter contract of two years to entice him.

He'd be just the sort of player I think we need to build the sqaud, experienced, left footed, and has the ability to score goals from long range. And his set pieces are very good as well!

Hinchcliffe or Staunton - either player would be an improvement to the team.

A Wednesday fan at my work says Hinchcliffes wages are £18,000 per week which would shatter Palace's wage structure (what wage structure??)

Also would either player come to Palace if they are trying to get back in the respective international side???

He would be a great player to buy, but his wages are a big no no.

I think that both will be unlikely, what are the odds that either will want to come to Selhurst?
