I have both... and have now two itunes accounts.
I bought some stuff for the iphone but the sound quality is crap (could it be as simple as earphones?).
i plugged the ipod into the other account so i could put the books i bought on that but it won't let me. is there a way to to move stuff from one itunes account to another? or from the phone to the pod?

Are you also on the waiting list for an iPad?

I don't understand why you have set up two separate accounts? Do you have separate email addresses linked to them?

I don't really know how I got two accounts... I don't want everything from the iPod on the phone just a few albums etc.
Listening to phone as I type so that issue seems to have cleared itself up.
Can I plug the iPhone into the iPod iTunes account and take stuff from there?

Just get rid of one of your accounts. You only need one. You change the settings for your iPod and iPhone, so you get what you want on each. When you plug in iPod/iPhone, go into the settings for that device in iTunes and tell it which playlists/songs/movies/pictures/apps you want to sync. The two devices can have different settings, so different things sync for different devices. The issue isn't iTunes, it is how you have your two devices set up to sync. Just stick to one account from now on, and move anything you have bought from the other account to your new permanent one.

Yep that's what I do, I run three, a 8gb Nano, 20GB Classic, & a 120gb Classic all with different syncing options, little bit of time to initially set up, but then no issues.
