1-1 Slovenia will be very similar to Algeria. Our 'stars' will shit themselves if they don't score early. Zlatan Ljubijankic rattles the bar after 15 mins commentator narrates early warning. England nervy, Cesar scores a bullet header from a set play. Commentator narrates England didn't learn from early warning.
Game is now played out a spitting image of Algeria. Possession high as they are happy for us to have it and do nothing with it.
England score on 84 mins through Milner. We create one further half chance, missed, we go out.

My theory is that the teams which deserve to qualify do so. On that basis, England won't win (they have been much better than England in the first two games) - Slovenia win or draw.

We haven't done enough over the first two games. Slovenia have done more than us. I just think that feeling in a team is a important, and it's hard to change. It's the feeling 'we deserve it' or 'we don't deserve it'. It just seems to be a factor in qualifying stages like this. I'll undoubtedly by proven completely wrong on this game, but it held true for the two groups today - Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina and South Korea were the teams who deserved to go through after the first two games, and they were the ones who qualified.

I really hope he doesn't. I reckon we could have had a much more dangerous first eleven but Capello chose the wrong 23 to take. We still have a chance but haven't made it easy for ourselves. I can't see us winning 5 games in a row, but would love it if we did.

Surely Joe Cole has to start replacing Heskey in a 4-5-1.
If he wants 4-4-2 then replace Lampard and Heskey and bring in Joe Cole and Crouch.

They seem to think on ITV highlights Defoe could start, personally I hope so, any change has got to be an improvement on Algeria. I pray England can nick it, go for a 1-0 win, not sure I really believe it though.

We were supposed to go out celebrating after Palace/Wednesday yet suddenly his mistress in around and he doesn't feel like it. That's one new thing about this World Cup - when they sing the anthems they have a mic moving along the row so you can each player singing (or not singing). At least three of them were belting it out - James and, I think, Upson among them.

It was a FANTASTIC block. BUT, why were we in a position where we needed to block? Because of both centre back's (and Lampard's) positioning.

No it was Barry's silly pass... we had players running at us, and they had one (player) extra.

But, as their only mistake so far, it's forgivable.

Why has Rooney not been dropped having not scored in his last 7 England games? Defoe or Crouch would be better options based on form.
